I arrived at this Bunnings, October 28th 2024 at 2:14pm. It was a pleasant afternoon, the sky was clear, the climate was hot and I remember the feeling of the sun shining in my hazel eyes. Me and my daughter Anne-Franny often take these trips to Bunnings, it reminds her of the long days her and her late father, Pius, would spend together back at home. Pius was a strong-willed, Jewish man, his fear of fish and food did not make him any less of a father to our children so my beloved Anne-Franny misses his touch very much. Nevertheless, as we arrive at Bunnings Domain her smile wide and hopes high we strode our way into the tool section desperate to find the exact nail-gun Pius would've used. As our eyes flickered up and down the tool aisle, we could not seem to locate the desired tool we began our mission for. We approached a high-ranking Bunnings employee, a girl who was incredibly helpful to me and Anne-Franny until she called over a second Bunnings employee. This employee was thick, spherically shaped and carried a disgusting attitude towards my fragile Jewish old woman state. I described the desired nail-gun in which my beloved Pius would use, and in his annoyance he sped off down into the depths of Bunnings. It took us 24.7 minutes to relocate this employee, after finding him this rude young man explained that a crowbar is the same thing as our nail-gun. I desperate to win this man over, as I always see the good in people, explained that we NEEDED this specific nail-gun. He acknowledged me, looked me and my baby up and down, then once again stormed away. This time we followed him closely and he kept looking back, like we were stalking this man, we paused as he went back to the tool-desk and was rudely whispering and scowling to the lovely woman from before. We were in disbelief. We felt our safety was apprehended while being within this confined warehouse. In a place where we once felt peace and close to my late husband Pius, has been diminished and wounded because of employee named Dane O'Connor. We left and wept in our 2004 Toyota Camry.
Attended at the Bunnings store in Garbutt and was assisted by a young blond girl in the garden area - I think her name was Georgia. She had only worked there for a few weeks but she went above and beyond to help me find the things I needed. Absolutely the best customer service I've had from a store in a long time. She made my shopping experience very enjoyable. Hold onto this one - she's a keeper!!
Nice friendly lady who was happy our return was right store with receipt still in box. Not the broken no receipt different store person in front of us.n3 stars as now Bunnings have killed most competition they cutting back on staff clearly as girl was clearly overwhelmed.
Went to return at item I bought as it wasn't the right one for my project. Tags still on, receipt in hand. The young girl at the service desk turned nasty as soon as I said I didn't want to exchange the thing I need isn't avaible at bunnings so I have found out. Like really feral and nasty. She asked if I had the card I purchased the item with, I had it on tap n go, she asked to see the virtual card to sight the card end numbers. She proceeded to tell me I cannot return the item as the card numbers didn't match. I was perplexed because it was the same method I used for the original purchase. I looked closer and it did displace the matching card number underneath the picture of the card on tap n go app. She reluctantly refunded me and continued this stroppy and rude behaviour thoughout the process, no good bye, thank you of have a nice day when complete, just hostility. I've had this in the past with clothing stores but never at Bunnings. Do they have a new system where refunds erode bonus or something? Very poor behaviour and customer service!
Thanks Meg and Brenton for your help today. Your customer service was outstanding , and you helped sort my issu. Couldn't believe when Brenton walked with me from the garden centre to inside to show me exactly where the item was that I had asked if was n stock.
