Historically, I've had fine dealings with The Good Guys, but the lack of customer service or support I've received from my most recent purchase has been pathetic. After purchasing a Hisense fridge in 2024, the paint started peeling within a few months. I returned to the store and spoke to the team, they asked me to put it in an email to them. I did... Then no response. I then followed up the email 3 times over a few weeks, and returned to the store a few times. They kept brushing me off and never responded to the email. They told me on the last visit they were processing the warranty. After 3 months, nothing. I lodged a complaint with The Good Guys head office. NO RESPONSE. Two months later I lodged a complaint with fair trading. then, I got a response from Hisense. It turned out The Good Guys never even contacted them! I'm angry at being lied to. It's now coming up to a year since I raised the warranty issue and I still don't have a resolution. I will not buy from The Good Guys or a Hisense product again. How disappointing.
I’ve purchased on the 20th of November and paid for express NEXT DAY delivery, which is still not here 24th of November.nnTried calling the store 3x and it rung out each time because no one working in the store can pick up a phone call? The item I’ve purchased has not even been packed or picked up since and no communication or updates has been given about my missing order. I’ve had to contact Good guys headquarters in order for there to be some sort of accountability and communication.
I ordered a television with delivery estimated for December 9. Perfect to have before the school holidays. After being notified that it wouldn't be delivered on that date, I enquired a few days later on the phone as to when we would expect it. They apologised and looked up my local store to see they had the item in stock and would contact the store to get it moving within the next couple of days. 7 days later I have heard nothing and now being told that it is not in stock anywhere locally and we will be contacted when it is. I am mostly disappointed with the complete lack of communication around all of this. We make these purchases with the ETA in mind as it suits our lives, especially at this busy time of the year with a family. If you were never going to have the item for the customer, please make your delivery dates more truthful. Reaching out to The Good Guys today produced absolutely no more clarity, so I guess we just continue to roll along in limbo.
I absolutly would not recommend buying from this company.nI have had a horrible experience.nI bought a laptop 3 months ago that broke just recently. Being three months old I called the store wanting to see how I could fix the situation. I am not in townsville and am working multiple hours away.nI was hoping to be able to send the computer back and have them look at it and either fix it or get me a new one and post it back.nI spoke to someome over the phone who told me my only option was to bring the laptop into the store in person and that he couldn't help me any other way. I then asked to speak to someone higher about it and he took my name and number and told me someone would get back to me. Two days went by and with no response I called again and someome again took my name and number and said someone would get back to me before the shop closed. I got no call back and so I called again the next day and was hung up on by one of the workers because I was asking to speak to a manager. I called back again and a lady this time told me that everyone was busy and if I wanted to talk to someone I needed to go into the store which was literally the whole problem to begin with. I finally got to speak to a supervisor who within 5 minutes of talking to him was able to sort it out and told me he could give me a refund for the device due to the time frame and could mail it back and asked me to email him my details for the refund.nIn my email I asked them to respond to the email so I knew they had my details and then once the computer showed up to store we could talk then.n5 days went by and I got no response and have just called the store again only to be told by the same rude girl I spoke to the First time around that they will not be making any contact with me at all until my laptop arrived at the store. She also mentioned that I needed to be more patient.nI have since bought a new laptop through Harvey Norman who had absolutly no issues doing the whole process over the phone and delivering my device to me, they could not have been more helpful.nDo your business elsewhere, trust me it's not worth doing it with these people, it's so much more stress then it needs to be.
Ordered and paid for chest freezer to be delivered on specific day. Took day off work to await its arrival. Did not show. Response from Townsville store was poor to say the least and Lincoln was not willing to negotiate a quicker date of delivery to compensate for loss of wages. No respect and no concept of client service. Will not shop there again and will advise friends, relatives and all who will listen that customer service does not exist within this store.
