They are helpful and friendly and were very kind about my incessant questions before we made the booking. Then when we arrived they were just as lovely in person. This is good old Tasmanian customer service at its finest. Rooted in reality and not so caught up in their own policies that they don't see the customer. Thanks Budget! Next time we're back home we will definitely get our car from you.

I got a verbal quote from Budget (Hobart Airport) to hire a car for a day. When we collected the car 6 days later from Launceston Downtown, I (verbally) confirmed the quote with the manager & wrote it down again. He seemed nice & honest. The following day we paid for the rental at the Hobart airport drop off, it was $28.31 more than the quote. A day later I rang the manager & queried it. He apologised, but said he couldn't do anything about it. After taking my complaint to Budget's customer service, they have not rung me back. As I'm busy, I don't have the time to continue the fight for justice, but we'll never use Budget again & we'll always get a written quote in future.
