I hired a car from Wayne for 4 days. Great reasonable prices, staff were super friendly and airport drop off was very convenient at no extra cost. Cars are older but well maintained, I didn't have any issues on the road. I would highly recommend renting from atotal car hire.

This place is the dictionary definition of a great Aussie small business doing things the right way. At a time when every car rental place on the island were increasing their prices through the roof, Wayne did not engage in this shenanigans. He charged us his standard rates even during the Christmas period, and gave us a free ride to and from the airport. You won't get this type of personal service from a car rental chain. I'm glad we were able to go with Wayne, and will do so each time we visit Launceston. The car we got had done a fair distance, but it was very well maintained and did not give us any issues at all.

Really friendly staff. Family business. Older cars but we'll kept and the most affordable I found anywhere.

Great place to pick up a rental car. No frills, no hidden agenda, Wayne’s a total car rental did the job for us as we travelled around tassie. A reasonable guy who is happy to accommodate outside hours pick up and take back to airport on a Saturday. I say ignore the big car hire companies and try this one

Just finished my week long trip with this car service. It was so easy, reliable and so much cheaper than other car hire places. They also personally drop you to and from the airport. I looked at many other car places but this was by far the best :

Excellent car rental company. Wayne was super helpful and friendly. He definitely went above and beyond with the customer service. The car rental rate is also very reasonable compare to other big companies. We rented small sedan and even though the car was 10 years old, the condition was really good. Highly recommend this place!

Super customer services! Can't recommend this car rental enough. While other big companies were charging us $300-500 per day school holiday, we found A Total Car Rentals for only $55 per day. They picked us up and dropped us off the airport for FREE. They charged us only 4 days when it could have been 5 4 hours into the 5th day. They let us borrowed 2 booster seats + phone holder for NO extra charge. Easy going, caring and friendly owner, everything was straightforward. The car was clean, comfortable and reliable.  If I travel to Launceston again, I will definitely come back to A Total Car Rentals.  Thank you.
