They did NOT honour their quote - I got a verbal quote from Budget (Hobart Airport) to hire a car for a day. When we collected the car 6 days later from Launceston Downtown, I (verbally) confirmed the quote with the manager & wrote it down again. He seemed nice & honest. The following day we paid for the rental at the Hobart airport drop off, it was $28.31 more than the quote. A day later I rang the manager & queried it. He apologised, but said he couldn't do anything about it. After taking my complaint to Budget's customer service, they have not rung me back. As I'm busy, I don't have the time to continue the fight for justice, but we'll never use Budget again & we'll always get a written quote in future.

We rented a truck to move house a while ago and had no issues. Staff member was friendly. We didn't have a credit card so we had to pay a small bond, but it was refunded very quickly after we returned the truck.

They charged me for the refuel service week after I returned the car even after they have checked and verified the car is on full-fuel lever on the day I returned the car. I have contact them and sent them the proof for the car refuel receipts as request by them but they never response to this afterwards.

Surely this is the 'budget' car rental, if you think it's worth to take the risk like I do then go for it but for me I will never rent the car from this 'budget' car rental company again after this experience.

Before I rent the car I have read some of the complaint from customers, thinking maybe I'm one the 'unlucky' one after this experience. But for a second thought, maybe I am lucky because thinking that they could have charge you more with whatever reasons, that's how they do business.
