Brisbane Pet Super Store

I don't normally leave reviews but this was pretty bad unfortunately. Bought some aquarium weeds from them only to find they were full of snails and even some parasitic bug that was eating baby guppies. Tank had been completely fine before this and nothing else was added. Really dodgy. May as well have grabbed them from the local creek.

I gave this store a bad review but after they responded, they to action and took better care of there animals. I’m very proud to say I’m giving this store a 5 star as they had amazing service when I was buying a little puppy. Staff where very helpful and patient. Kind regards -Mechail

I was fascinated mostly of the rat fetuses In the fridge and the wide range of animals (better than Australia zoo ) highly recommend to anyone potentially thinking of buying a scorpion of all things or a frozen rabbit.

THIS STORE ABUSES / DOES NOT CARE FOR IT'S ANIMALS! Look at the condition of this bearded dragon. Noticed it due to the smell coming from it's filthy enclosure. It's tail is necrotic yet they do nothing. They house 3 bluetongues in a single enclosure (they will fight and kill eachother) and the conditions of other pets in store is just as bad. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!

Their cross bred "designer pups and hybrid kittens" (what we used to call mongrels and moggies) are a lot dearer than pedigree pups or even cross bred pups from a breeder. I'm pretty sure the breeder wouldn't be getting much for the animal, it would be the pet shop making the money. These are not rescue or foster animals, these are animals that have been actively bred to resell to pet shops, what the PIAA call "ethical breeders". You would be better off visiting the family down the road that had an accidental litter from their loved family pet (you would then know the type of home it came from) or heading off to the RSPCA and getting an already desexed pet that is temperament tested and potentially on death row. Price aside, the conditions in which they are kept is not very nice. A room that is 3x3 metres is not big enough for puppies to be kept in, even for short periods of time. They might be air conditioned but they wouldn't work up a sweat as there's no room to run around. Spend some if those big bucks being charged and build bigger and better enclosures. The cats need more climbing trees and toys than one scratch post stuffed in the corner. There are too many birds in each cage and therefore out of condition and are very wild like and plucked bald. I can't stand to see floaters when shopping for fish so keep an eye on the tanks throughout the day please. A good range of play, feeding and health products for dogs, cats, cavy, fish, birds and reptiles though.
