It really amazed my how much I enjoyed my visit here. The gardens are so well kept (well, that really should not be a surprise to be honest) and the entire area is small enough not to wear you out yet large enough to give you a little bit of a bush and nature feeling. Around every corner it yet another surprise. And right at the end, almost most importantly, the restaurant not only serves good food but with views that are close to unbeatable. Free entry, plenty of parking, disabled scooter rental and friendly and patient staff are the icing on a great cake. Go and check it out.

Amazing in every possible way, especially during the autumn colours! You can easily spend a whole day here taking photos, having a picnic, walking and hiking - it's got everything. It's all set to a beautiful backdrop of mountains and hills which makes it quite unique, especially in comparison to the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. Well worth a visit, even if you have to rent a car to get here :)

A lovely walk and day trip. The rose garden was in full bloom when I went. It makes for wonderful photos. There aren't many tourists on the weekdays. The car park is a little cramped and the cafe out front serves limited options. If you can, it's worth it to bring a picnic. A visitors center at entrance to the garden is extremely informative on a number of subjects including ecology, indigenous and colonial history, species identification, geography and regional places of interest. There's also a pretty good view from the back as well.

As good as any botanical garden, definitely not for the unfit. Amazing views overlooking the mountains. The scones were hot, tasty and of a substantial size and so were the chips. Coffee was good, the staff friendly and attentive. If you happen to be in the area apple picking stop in here first for an hour or two.

The Mount Tomah botanical gardens in the Blue Mountains National Park is an amazing place to visit. This garden sits on 252 hectares of land with 28 hectares open to the public and is home to 21,000 plants and 900 species and is focused on the conservation of cool climate plants. Spring in this garden is particularly colourful when flowering shrubs and trees and flower beds are in bloom. Autumn is often awash with deciduous trees are changing colour before dropping their spring and summer foliage. The view from the visitors centre veranda is also brilliant on a clear day.
