Been here in the past and had a great hike all the way to the other side of the main road. Visited again today however the weather was not in our favour. Beautiful scenery, small waterfall in between the garden. Flowers blooming. Couldn’t do much due to the rain. Best to visit when skies are clear.
I would give this place six stars however some of the parts that are meant to be disability friendly are not sealed properly and are uneven and are a little bit difficult to navigate this is near the rock pool and the bottom but otherwise the rest of the gardens are very easy to navigate especially for those requiring wheelchair access. Plenty of disable parking and accessibility bathrooms. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Wonderful day out.
Many hidden treasures here and glorious views. You can have guided tours and even hire a scooter to get around if you need. There are easy walk ways but if you go off those it's rock steps in some areas. It is a beautiful walk just keep in mind it is all up hill once you get down to the bottom. Unfortunately the only thing missing is a cafe.
Its a beautifully maintained garden spread over some 70 acres + or -.. Very friendly staff..Your donations go towards the maintenance of the park. Perfect spot to spend some quality time with friends / family, have a little picnic.. My little ones loved exploring the flora range.
Well maintained garden and place worth visting for nature and plants in vibrant colors. One has to climb down and move around to various sections, stone garden, Jurassic and feast your eyes with the beauty of nature. Unfortunately the food outlet was closed due to holiday. Normally visitors bring their own food and drinks and enjoy a days outing. Must place to visit.
Stunning gardens, great facilities, lots of parking and really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit! The kiosk wasn't open when we visited I'm not sure if it's still operating?, so I'd probably make sure to bring some food and when you visit. Then you can enjoy a picnic!
I loved this placeit is so quite, has natural greenery, small fountains, has picnic spots and of course the beautiful flowers. There were not many flowers at this time but was good. There is one restaurant inside the garden which is okay. The only thing l didn't like is the gate closes sharp at 5pm. They start announcing 15 min before closing down so you have to run back towards the parking. Start early in the morning if you want to enjoy the garden and visit on a cloudy day.
I always enjoy a regular visit to the Gardens. It is like an education in horticulture, the seasons and what planting styles work. Visited this week with a friend, we were discussing the dahlias when a gardener staff member joined our conversation. He was so knowledgeable and shared great growing tips and information. In the visitors centre, Donna was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us some great hints to maximise our time for a short walk. Free entry, you would be crazy to drive by without stopping by to at the very least enjoy the magnificent views!
It was beautiful, vast and well-maintained. Some sections were condoned off due to danger of falling branches. Visit would have been better if the restaurant was open. Eating there with view would have been amazing!
I have such high expectations of this place and have been several times now... Every time I re-visit, i'm blown away all over again. While the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney are iconic and have views that nobody can compete with... For me, the Botanic Gardens in the mountains are by far more impressive with FAR more variety. I'd visit every day if I lived nearby - no exaggerating!
