Giant - Not such a Giant ! - Before you buy a "Giant" Bike ask the dealer if an item or part on the proposed "NEW" bike has an issue in the near-future during the warranty-period, that the same "original" part subject to the warranty-claim can be "identically" supplied & fitted back to your pride & joy that you purchased in a timely manner. If you cannot get that guarantee in writing then consider another brand. Giant based on my research appears "NOT" to keep a good backup of stock on-hand of identical serviceable parts here in Australia for all their range of imported bikes & offers you something else in place of the original failed-part hoping that you accept & go away. If I buy a NEW bike from an Australian retail dealer, then you expect to get full-warranty & you expect that the part that failed is supplied back to me "the-customer" quickly & identically to what failed - for eg ; two different types / styles of wheels on the "same" bike, that is less than 6 months old in my opinion does not pass the warranty test & simply not acceptable. Remember the brand NEW bike in the showroom that you purchase will one-day need service, maintenance & "replacement" parts & if Giant cannot supply those same parts, then find a brand that can ! Not happy !

Can’t say enough about Richard, Andy and the Biketech team. I have had so much help and encouragement from these guys on my mountainbike adventure. From helping sort out my second hand starter bike to supplying a great Giant at a bargain price that is absolutely amazing to ride. Seriously this bike glides compared to my last ride. Warranties are solid as when I managed to put a flat spot in my rim it was replaced in days so I would have my bike to ride over the Christmas break. The service here goes above and beyond any other retail experience. They are bike enthusiasts who have that same gleam in the eye as any other when talking about their passion. All the work these guys have done on my 3 bikes has been perfect. Personalities to match their business ethics - friendly, helpful, smart and cheeky 🙄😂 Love them!!! Now if only they would branch into motorbikes...... 😎

Awesome service and great advice from the team at bike tech . Just purchased a mtb from them and they couldn’t be more helpful. Good old fashioned service . When I pass the guys down the street somewhere they stop an say hello an ask how everything is going, super friendly and polite with great professional advice.

I first became a customer of Bike Tech in early 2015 when they sorted out the MTB I had then. I was so impressed with the job they did and how friendly Richard and the staff are. Since then I have purchased 2 other Bikes from Richard and the team. I can't say enough good things about these guys.

I had purchased an Avanti bike from another retailer in Hervey Bay and was disappointed in the servicing and knowing the bike was just becoming a "dog", very disappointing. I called into Biketech and the bike tech picked the problem immediately they quoted $48.00 to do a "reset", money well spent. The Avanti now is an excellent bike, how can one tech be so good whereas another one just didn't care.
