Wanting to express my gratitude for Kerrie in the paint department, and also Adam who initially helped me Kerrie went above and beyond to help me select the right paints/ prep and finishing products and spent so much time educating me on exactly what to do. I felt so confident leaving the store, and the results with my Dulux products - well they speak for themselves ! Highly recommended for all your paint / Reno needs.
Such a great range of plants. A lovely young man in the garden section is super helpful. But you have to be prepared to walk out with a lot more than you initially went in for. So much to choose from. Our go to place for almost everything. Ease of parking, service is generally pretty quick. Staff always helpful and knowledgeable or they find someone who is in that department.
Had a single item from tool section. $17 chisel bit. Quite a line up at tool checkout so we did what we do at every other Bunnings ... thought we'd take it to the front registers. Despite bring busy serving people the cranky dragon on the checkout yelled at us to get in the line. We said we'd go to the front checkouts, she yelled that we could only pay there. I politely asked if this was something unique to Hervey Bay, she said no, it's at every store in Australia. I responded, again politely, that it most certainly did not apply at either Toowoomba or Maryborough, both of which I'd been at the day before and the week before. With the finesse of an Auschwitz guard she virtually accused us of lying and to get in line. Hey - your store, you set any rules you like, but the attitude of this thing was atrocious. Other customers in the line were a bit shocked too. Wish I'd put the bit back and gone somewhere else. Certainly haven't been back since!!
Rocked up to bunnings Hervey bay today and was immediately greeted by the local trolly trooper on shift and we introduced ourselves and I asked him where the soaker hoses were and he was able to tell me straight away! He walked me to the aisle and I told him that I needed a new tip for my hose, and without hesitation he guided my hands to his tip and told me to grab it before someone else can! I could not be more happy with the store and the top-notch staff with the best quality tips, would 100% recommend and WILL be going back
Having not long ago moved to Hervey Bay, I have been to this store nearly every day. I recently purchased an electrical item pressure washer which failed after 2 uses so I returned it. I replaced it with the 'most expensive' version of this item and that failed out of the box. I called Bunnings HB and dealt with one of the managers named Matt and that man went far and above to ensure the level of customer service was maintained. He did an amazing job and because of this, I really felt the need to put up this review. Thanks Matt and Bunnings HB
