All Big W are the same, until they're not and this one was subtly, enjoyably different.nnI came here specifically hunting Olsson's salt. My foray online suggested it to be possibly available however I confess to being overwhelmed at times by the info Googs gives you when you select the Shopping tab. I work in IT so this makes sense.nnSadly, no Olssons found. Staff were friendly and helpful.nnI ended up getting a 300ml sauce bottle to be used for storing milk at work. I'm hoping the sauce bottle obscures it from the milk thieves at work.nnThere were much to admire in this store. The big tub of Lindt chocolate bars - those sexy, thin red ones - at half price... Man, I could've bought a 1000 of them.
Customer Service Experience – October 20th, Around 12–1 PMnI’ve never written a review before, but I feel the need to share the experience I had this afternoon in hopes that someone sees it and addresses the situation.nAround 12 to 1 PM, I came into the store looking for help with finding a specific item. I approached a male staff member for assistance, as I felt more comfortable asking him. A young woman, who appeared to be new, was nearby. She seemed to be following him or perhaps training with him I believe she might have been Indian, but I’m not completely sure.nWhen I asked the gentleman for help, she looked at me, giggled, and whispered something along the lines of, “It’s right there,” referring to the item I was asking about. For context, I struggle with really bad anxiety, and even asking for help in public is difficult for me. I usually try to avoid drawing attention to myself, so working up the courage to speak to someone was already hard. Her reaction felt dismissive and unnecessary, and it made me want to leave as quickly as possible. I ended up buying something I didn’t even want, just so I could leave and get out of that awkward situation. Later, I returned to exchange the item, but still left with the wrong one. The whole experience left a bad impression and made me feel like my presence and request for help were not respected. I hope someone in management reads this and takes the time to speak to her about the way she interacts with customers. I understand she may be new and still learning, and I truly believe everyone deserves the chance to grow. But a little empathy, respect, and professionalism can make all the difference especially for customers who already feel anxious or unsure.
i had the worse experience with BIG W market, i would never ever recommend to buy anything from it. I bought 2x drawers online from BIG w market, even though the item was only $35 but delivery was over $70 but i still did it as i liked it and i bought 2. once arrived i opened one of the boxes. it was nice but not what i had in my mind. the second box was unopened and i asked to return. and here the nightmare starts. The seller not responding and BIG W are responding after 4 to 5 days. It's been over 2 weeks now and still we didn't come to a solution. This is pathetic
I love this store but the recent change to the fitting rooms is impossible. About 15 cubicles have been replaced with just two fitting rooms and the queues are long & slow.nHats off to the great staff at this store, this is difficult for them also.
