I had been looking forward to a relaxing afternoon at the movies, but unfortunately my experience before the film even started left me feeling quite upset.nnI arrived early, purchased my ticket, then went to Otto’s for a coffee before returning to the cinema foyer to wait for the doors to open. A staff member at the candy bar advised me that I couldn’t take my coffee into the cinema. I completely understood the policy and politely asked if I could finish it in the foyer. She said yes.nnShe then asked if I had “a sandwich or something” in my bag. The way she spoke to me felt rude, accusatory and patronising. I felt like I was being treated like a child, despite being polite and cooperative throughout.nnI asked her, “What gives you the right to speak to me like that? I don’t see you speaking to other customers this way.” My concern was never the policy—it was the manner in which it was enforced. Rules can be communicated professionally and respectfully without making a customer feel embarrassed or singled out.nnI handed over my ticket and said, “I didn’t come here for this.” Thankfully, another staff member stepped in, treated me with kindness and professionalism, and immediately offered me a refund. I genuinely appreciated the way she handled the situation.nnThis review is not about your policy regarding outside food and drinks. I fully respect that every business has the right to set and enforce its own policies. This is about customer service and basic respect.nnFor me, almost anything else can be fixed or overlooked. Mistakes happen, delays happen, and policies can be explained. What I cannot overlook is disrespect. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and courtesy. Kindness costs nothing, and unfortunately that was missing from my experience today.
Please get the volume correct. The two movies I've seen recently have been far too quiet. F1 the movie was completely underwhelming despite complaining to the manager that it was too quiet. Hail Mary Project was better at times the stereo effects had some punch but the dialogue was too quiet. I play movies at home way louder than this cinema.
During my time here I got the chance to see Oppenheimer and Mission Impossible 7: Cruising for more Money and had a great time! Lovely and awesome staff, greeted very well upon entering, immediately served and directed to the theater of choice. Hanging in the lobby was pleasant and I just had to get a photo with my older brother Ryan Gosling! See ya next time Aussies!
Delightful experience. Smooth entry, clean theatre. Appreciated the colouring in the foyer to entertain little people. Great parking options.
Beautiful complex feels very modern, recent addition of alcoholic beverages is also nice if that’s your thing. One word of caution, these cinemas are uncommonly loud so take that into account if you are hearing-sensitive.
