Not so good if you are a person expecting a civilised cinema experience. We went to see the new Mandalorian movie. We had pre-purchased tickets and then went to buy some snacks. I went to the alcohol counter to buy snacks and a glass of wine, but before I could ask if I could buy the snacks at the same counter the young 'manager' looked up from her conversation with three young teens and told me to go to the ticket desk. I went as instructed and also tried to order a glass of red wine from the young girl at the desk who asked me to wait whilst she served the other customers, she kept looking around for help from another staff person. The manager had disappeared leaving the girl at the ticket desk alone in the room to try and serve me, and about five other people in the line. Finally a young guy came out and took me over to find a glass of wine for me. I thanked him and took my glass into the cinema and then I noticed the glass I was served was still dirty with someone else's lipstick all over it. We did enjoy the movie,  and when it was finished my daughters and I went to the toilet which we were no longer than five minutes. To celebrate the evening, they wanted to get a photo from the booth. My daughter put her money in to pay for the photos and suddenly the power to the machine went out whilst they were sitting in the booth. We looked around to ask for help from the staff with the machine but there was no staff person visible anywhere. Clearly they were in a great hurry to get home. We went to the desk and had to yell through the kitchen doors to get anyone to come out and speak to us. My husband by this stage was quite agitated that it had taken such an effort to get a staff person. He asked that they needed to refund my daughters money. With which we got a mouthful of reasons why they couldn't do that. Which may have been true, but their attitude towards us was unacceptable. They also claimed that the cinema was now closed and they weren't obligated to help. I said to the young manager that they still have customers within the building whom they have a responsibility to and that they were not closed as the doors were still open and that they needed to in fact wait before their customers left the building to consider themselves shut. The young female manager was very incapable of rational conversation. The young male's response was to simple threaten to call security without any reasonable attempt at sensible resolution, The whole situation escalated very quickly with no service, no sensible response from staff or option for refund, or an apology for our daughter. This was the worst staff I have ever come across. They have clearly had very little customer service training at all. Very very poor experience at the Rockhampton cinema.
I'm a Cinebuzz member so the admission prices are very cheap. I also get a small discount on refreshments. The popcorn and drink prices are very expensive especially for a family but thats inflation in action. Also the straws and soft drink lids are very unhygienic. You have to grab a unpackaged straw and the lids stick together which means you are handling both lids. Not an idea situation. Also the toilets always smell and are very old and In need of an upgrade. The Taps are very old and sometimes do not turn of so water wastege is a major issue. The cinemas are very modern and seating is top class. Plenty of parking and the staff are fantastic. Fix the issues mentioned and I give five stars.
Went to see Michael with my cousin and it said it will start at 5:30pm then we arrived at 4:57pm, got our popcorn and drinks before making our way to the cinema room to find it already playing, after an hour found out that we came in half way through the movie when it started it starts at 5:30pm but it finished at 5:40. Then we realise it was over when we bought tickets for 5:30pm.
Poor service , went to a movie and was told we are not selling anything at the candy bar at 7:37pm!!!nAh how about telling your customers when purchasing a ticket that you need to get what you want early as we close the Candy Bar.The shift manager was rude and abrupt . Definitely not the experience I was expecting what happened to customer service. Some staff training would go a long way..
Great place to sit and relax and watch a new movie. I wide range of snacks. And staff are lovely.nnInside the cinemas did smell like stale urine, tho. Which was not wonderful.nnOther than that absolutely amazing .
