Excellent cinema complex. Booking on line is easy and simple. So is retrieving the booking at the complex. Clean and comfy cinemas.
Didn't get my movie. Movie did not get shown. Refused refund
We are regular patrons of this, the only Cinema complex in Mackay. Our experience is usually seamless, buy tickets, walk in, watch movie. We usually pre purchase. Rarely do we have to show proof of purchase, this should be monitored more efficiently, I have been told you can walk straight in! Today was a classic example of where staff do their best with little direction. Seniors morning tea showing means… Seniors! Add an advance screening of a Michael Caine movie, his last, and yes, you have many seniors.nThe morning tea is provided in plastic containers, one per person, four items inside. No problem with this method at all in today’s times. BUT, no one at theatre management pre organised a thing re this seniors morning tea. Result, chaos. Staff on the back foot trying to hastily fill packs with the four items and give them out. They had in no way pre-prepared for today’s advertised “Morning Tea”, Management non existent. Lines waiting to show tickets to enable receipt of the morning tea packs, staff scrambled to heat items and fill them still at movie start time. The packs are great, nicely done, but should have been pre packed, ready to hand out at 10am. We arrived at 9.55 am and all seats in foyer taken so there was a clear indication of the number of people there early enough.
Large popcorn is over 16 dollars? And no refills? This is a large???? Theater is ok, movie was fine, but be prepared for some spendy, overcooked popcorn with kernels and lots of small bits!
