Made a booking for this location the previous evening. Went to pick up vehicle only to find counter unattended. Waited 20mins+. Called head office and recieved no help from them except advice to go to a different Avis depot. Massive line up at other depot. So far behind schedule we've had to change plans for today and now won't be seeing Sorrento. Very disappointed.

I had a very bad rental experience in the new year at AVIS IN GRAND HYATT. I was first shocked by the hidden location but which annoyed me most is the stuffs. On 31/12/2017 I booked a car from an agent called Expedia can the price for the whole car was 111au include the full cover insurance (just been pre charged 22au for insurance) and booked the pickup time at 9am. But when I finally found Avis at 8:50, the stuff was busy talking several different phone calls. Other customer and I waited for nearly 20mins that’s the first thing. Then he asked me if I want full cover, I told him I already paid though the agent but he told me I can’t use it and ask me to get refund from Expedia later and charged me for 153au in total. I felt wired because I had reserved car from Expedia before with the insurance and no one told me I can’t use it. That’s the second thing. Today after returning the car I asked the front desk lady about the price I have been charged yesterday, politely. But the attitude of female stuff named Carlot to her customer was very bad. She asked me to call Expedia and didn’t tell me what include the 153ad price although I asked her for so many times. She refused to see my booking details as well. In the end, she told me 153au is all for insurance. That’s the third thing. I’m quite confused why AVIS is like this? Very bad car rental experience and I’ll tell all my Chinese friends and relatives never go to AVIS IN GRAND HYATT.

Worst service, they do not want to give you the car , they hold money even that you having insurance, 400 dollars and for 3 weeks ,

Difficult to find the office. Service is quick. It is on 4th floor of underground parking but there's a problem with the old lift here so it stops at 3rd floor! You must press 4th again!

Charged extra $400 without telling us, didn’t have car ready, car was dirty, had no GPS even though we had booked one. Lady who served us was very abrupt. Did not explain fees, tolls etc, place was hard to find, waited for ages. Contacted the call centre and that guy was useless, did not seem to care about any of the above issues. Not a great experience, will never hire from Avis again.
