Had a fantastic experience with this Post Shop today. Khaled and the other dude were extremely helpful. It was my first time posting a big parcel. The whole process was chill. They were patient and kind. They guided me through an app download, registration of a new account and keyed in the coupon code. 10/10 top service!
Excellent service, I started an online business and team helped me with the shipping and other details. The new manager is very efficient and knowledgeable and he helps everyone. His team is also good. He tries his level best to do quick service, but most people coming to post office are old people or other nationalities who are not sure about many procedures to send letters, parcel or passport. So the team takes time to make sure they do proper service and helps them. That’s the reason for delay.More people come to post office , but the post office is too small to accommodate everyone’s needs, there should be more counters / staff so the work can be processed on time.
In summary, hire more staff on a Saturday. Only open for outside standard work hours pick up on a Saturday morning and generally only one staff member on for parcel pickup at this time. The queue is often 30min+ in the hot sun. Staff regularly deny they have parcels which I have found after escalating several times they do have. I have also had them assign things I ordered for my wedding into a parcel locker owned by someone else. It has been nearly 3 years of covid, increased parcel volumes and Christmas is not an excuse. Please extend your hours, hire more staff or find another way to shorten the wait times. It's not good enough and your staff understandably get flustered and impatient customers as a result.
If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve been an unfortunate patron of this post office for over 3 years now and to say the service is bad would be the understatement of the century. Not only is it a prerequisite for staff to have a general disdain for the population but they also refuse to listen or offer solutions to general enquiries or problems that fall completely within their job description. I cannot count the number of times I’ve waited upwards of 20 minutes to be served no matter what time of day it is only to see 3 people completing a task that could easily be done by one staff member. They have multiple times refused to except return parcels despite my having the required parcel barcode and have also refused to take them after I’d contacted customer support who then called the shop to make it clear they did in fact need to accept my parcel. The way they speak to and treat customers is truly appalling and the amount of times I’ve experienced multiple staff be condescending not just to me but to other members of the community is disgusting. 0/5 don’t recommend.
Why is the service so bad here? Unfortunately I’ve had a high value express parcel transit through this post office which has resulted in a 2+ week delay due to constant mishandling. No updates provided through the AusPost tracking system so I fear it has now been lost or stolen by one of the staff. Unbelievable.
Came in to ship my first parcel overseas. I had a lovely young lady serving me, named Tarni. Her customer service was excellent, she helped me into creating my business account, she explained me in detail how everything works and her gentle approach made my experience very easy and smooth! Thank You Tarni!!
They didn't attempt deliver but just left the card. We opened the front door fully so that the delivery person could see we were at home, but the person obviously didn't care. I know that a lot of people have reported the same problems to the Australian Post, but the problems haven't be fixed. Very sad.
They say they attempt delivery of packages, but they don't even try. They turn up with the "Couldn't deliver" slips pre-filled and no packages. I've watched them filling them out at the post office, and waited for them at the mail area in our building.
If you intend to visit this post office during peak times you will find yourself in a massive queue, snaking cartoonishly out of the door into the carpark. 20 minutes standing in uncomfortable proximity with a group of people whose only connection is poor time management and online shopping is a recipe for an existential crisis. Admittedly, I'm not a queue person. I would probably line up for bottled water in the aftermath of a natural disaster, but I'd have to think about it. That said, having to queue with people from West End is a special kind of additional soul crushing punishment. The wet, suffocating heat of a Brisbane summer accompanied by the smell of rancid incense emanating from a nearby business/converted Queenslander peddling magic crystals. Actual people, selling actual people magic rocks. Imagine the absolute state of a suburb where this is a viable business model. Concerning, to say the least.
Always friendly & extremely helpful. I use the parcel lockers for all my online purchases, it’s so handy, easy to use & accessible 24/7. This post shop is always busy, & the carpark is often full, so the lockers mean I have more control over collection times as I’m not restricted to the stated opening hours. There are actually two locker stations, marked #1 & #2. Make sure you read your Aust Post txt alert carefully, as it will actually tell you which locker to use.
