Such a great place to stay! The room was ample for our 3 person family, warm with good heating from the heat pump. Shower pressure and heat was amazing. Kitchenette had everything we needed. Everything was very clean. Would suggest looking at sealing of the shower as there was more water pooling outside the shower than I would have expected and required a number of towels to mop up.

This has the best lighting by far in any motel unit we have stayed in and we have stayed in many, in NZ and overseas.nMaybe that seems a strange thing to comment on but if you just want to sit and read a book at night and the lighting is useless then it's frustrating. This is the best!nThe shower is great, the accessibility facilities are perfect.nWe will certainly book again.
After a horror trip we found this beauty late. I was so grateful to the owners for the space to rest. Comfy beds, big clean rooms, good facilities. Overall top place to stay. Thank you.
We have travelled extensively throughout NZ from luxury to budget accommodation. While the motel is not 5 star it has been one of the best places we have stayed and that is because the owners take great pride in running a tight ship. It's clean, well maintained and well set up with a workable kitchenette, and has laundry facilities on site. It's close to the supermarket and pub, although Geraldine is a small town. Sue and her husband were incredibly friendly, they also mountain bike in the area so are very understanding about hikers and bikers. Great place to stay.
