My recent experience with AEC Moorabbin left me deeply disheartened and disillusioned with their level of care and professionalism. My 3 year old cat Rosa was taken to their facility under the care of our house sitter, who promptly alerted me to Rosa's deteriorating health. Despite the concerning diagnosis of possible liver failure, I was reassured by one of their veterinarians that there was hope for Rosa's recovery and that specialized intervention was necessary, albeit at additional cost.nnLater that day, I was informed that Rosa would be transferred to their Dandenong branch to be seen by a specialist. Shockingly, at no point during this communication was I made aware of the potential risks associated with such a transfer. Upon our house sitters arrival to collect Rosa, she voiced valid concerns about the safety of the transfer, which unfortunately went unheeded.nnTragically, upon arrival at the Dandenong branch, Rosa was discovered to have passed away. It was acknowledged by the receiving veterinarian that transferring Rosa in her already fragile state worsened her condition, indicating a serious lapse in judgment on the part of AEC Moorabbin.nnThe handling of Rosa's case reflects a glaring lack of communication, empathy, and competency on the part of AEC Moorabbin. The trust and faith that I placed in their expertise were gravely misplaced, resulting in the untimely loss of my beloved pet.nnAEC Moorabbin have failed to respond to any of my emails and phone calls.nnIn light of this devastating outcome, I cannot in good conscience recommend AEC Moorabbin to others seeking compassionate and competent veterinary care. My hope is that this review serves as a cautionary tale and prompts AEC Moorabbin to reevaluate their protocols and practices to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
Absolutely exceptional care and service to my dear cat, who suffered a horrific dog attack, on a public holiday. They took him through for treatment immediately on my arrival, got him on oxygen & a drip & were able to stablise him, which meant, in the longer term, he could undergo surgery and live. All staff were exceptionally skillful and kind. They were miracle workers at a very dangerous time.nAlso, administratively they are excellent, which is a relief in a crisis. Provided invoice & vet report quickly for insurance needs, also sent all med documentation to local vet and ensured cat prepared for subsequent surgery at local vet. They did all this in a low fuss way which reduced stress. Really, they are an exceptional team and I will always remember how good they were.
Went here to drop off some towels and pillow cases. I urge everyone to go through their cupboards and do the same. Such a great service that they provide - however I hope you never need it, if you know what I mean!
Such a relief to know that AEC is so close to home if another emergency arises.nThe diagnoses was spot on and I was able to observe the care and love that was provided towards all of us and our precious pets who were sat nervously in the waiting room at 4 am in the morning
Staff were very friendly and professional - they took extra special care of our big girl after a scary accident. Staff acted very quickly and with luck on our side that day, we got to go home together. Highly recommend for emergencies
