Although there was a little bit of a wait like you would have in any emergency room, my dog was treated with kindness. She was given appropriate treatment and was quickly made comfortable. I was glad I didn’t have to wait until the next day for although it was a common complaint she was very uncomfortable. I was very happy with the service.
My cat Mia, was admitted for a subtotal Colectomy, 2 weeks ago, it has been a success!nnI cannot say enough great things about AEC+ Specialists. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The entire team—from the front desk staff to the veterinarians and nurses—truly cares about the well-being of every animal that comes through their doors.nnThe level of expertise and attention to detail is exceptional. Dr Charles Kuntz took the time to thoroughly explain my cats' diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care, making sure me feel informed and at ease. His gentle approach made my puss feel very comfortable. Jacob also had a lovely demeanor, Mia felt at ease with them right away.nnThe clinic itself is clean, well-organised, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. They offer a wide range of services, emergency care, and their prices are fair and transparent.nnWhat sets AEC+ Specialists apart is their genuine love for animals and dedication to providing the best possible care. I wholeheartedly recommend them to any pet owner looking for a trustworthy and compassionate veterinary service!
When you become a voice for the voiceless, you need to listen to them and understand, what they say with no words.nIt’s easy for me, because I am the ‘ mami’.nI bought my dog, because, after getting a general anaesthesia for his CT scan he was:nPantingnWalking aimlesslynWhiningnDrooling excessivelynI have not been to a vet school but, certainly, these symptoms indicate:nPain?nDiscomfort?nAnxiety?nBut apparently, not to the vets at morrabin VRH.nThe CT scan result said, he has pancreatic tumour, which was affecting his blood sugar.nSo, they pumped him up with IV glucose, shaved his skin and stuck a glucose monitor decide in his skin. Whilst he was still drooling, and in pain.nThey did manage to get him in for an emergency surgery.nSo, I went to collect my baby, he was 1000 times worse than when I had dropped him off.nHe was drooling like a hurricane at this point.nThe vet did not even come out to give us a proper handover.nI asked, if he would survive the car ride from Morrabin to Malvern, the nurses optimistically said, YES!nWell VRH vet working on Thursday the 17/4/25.nPicture this: my boy, fell from the seat and had a full blown grand mal seizure as we were driving.nHe suffered, man, did he suffer.nHis presenting problem was pain!nNot low BGL.nYou were blinded by his diagnosis and failed to see his presenting problem.nYou failed to see my boy and he was with you, in his final days.nYou kept him alive for a night, but you killed his soul.nEducate your vets on signs of pain!!!nAnd for love of God, treat their pain.
I needed to take my dear little Flynn to AEC Moorabbin about 4 am on Monday morning when he became very unwell. We were met by the most caring nurses and Vet and it soon became clear that it was time for Flynn to leave me. They were absolutely lovely and gentle and l was able to spend as much time as l needed with Flynn afterwards in a quiet room stroking his silky coat. While l am heartbroken that Flynn who has been my constant companion for over 10 years has died, l will be forever grateful for the care given to both Flynn and l and know that this will help me as l grieve his loss. Here is Flynn as he was just last Tuesday happy and handsome.
Such lovely lovely people running this place. We had to run in and make an emergency appointment at midnight for our 2 year old cat. They immediately took her in and had the nurses and vets have a look at her thoroughly after a health scare that we encountered with our cat. They then let us know she was fine and were free to head home!nnTo top it off, they did this for FREE!! I was so pleasantly surprised they did not charge us any fee considering we came in the dead of night so suddenly. Lovely team and I can’t recommend them enough
