One of my friends recommended this to me, I came from the east side of the town. However, the Banh Mi was very average. Nothing special but it’s very expensive.nnThe ingredients were fresh, the size was not small, the meat and the veggies. It’s not enough for lunch tbh.nThe problem was after eatting this, my mouth felt so dry and thirsty, i reckon the sauce fish sauce or whatever they put in in the Banh mi contains MSG.nI don’t think I will come back again or recommend to any of my friends.
This is always my go-to place for quick, delicious, and cheap eat when I rush to university or simply too lazy to cook. They have the best banh mi I have tried so far in Melbourne. The taste and fillings are authentic Vietnamese. Mayo butter, pork's liver pate, crispy pork, pork crackle, carrot pickle, green onion, hoisin sauce and chilly sauce. They don't miss a thing!
What a fantastic shop! First of all the atmosphere here is quite casual laid back and the staff are absolutely beautiful! Full of smiles nnSecond the banh mi is delicious, crispy, flavourful! All the combined flavours in a crispy yet fluffy Vietnamese baguette that are made in house I highly recommend visiting if in the area. We got the crispy pork, but they do have other flavours that are sure to make all happy.nnAlso they make a delicious coffee as well!!!
I ordered the Crispy Pork Banh Mi with the lot. A Fresh crispy roll filled with a soft and juicy pork with just the right amount of pork crackling with a nice crunch. Filled with a combination of fresh fillings and a nice hint of chilli topped it off…. A well balanced mix of ingredients.nGood all roundernThe shop was Clean and spacious.nEasy to order and given buzzer for takeaway. Plenty of seating in and outside.
Great Banh Mi right in the middle of Ivanhoe! As a massive fan of Banh Mi genuinely very happy to have An Banh Mi near home and not needing to drive all the way to Preston, Footscray or Brunswick to get my Banh Mi fix.nnRolls are baked on sight and are very crispy and fluffy on the inside, their Roast Pork is legit and so is the way they build your rolls. Very tasty and all for a great price around $11.nnPlenty of other options available at the restaurant for those who don’t feel like roast pork as well.nnThe space inside can seat a small amount of patrons but honestly I love just grabbing a roll and sitting outside the local Library.nnParking at the library is much easier than trying to park out front as well and is only a short 2 min walk away.
