Visited Woolworths Lincoln Road on Sunday morning with my Dad for our grocery shop and we wanted to acknowledge and applaud the excellent customer service we received.nnA special thank you to Carl at the self-service checkout, who noticed the size of our trolley and thoughtfully directed us to a nearby self-checkout, where he was available nearby to assist, if needed. That small gesture made the process so much easier and showed great awareness and care for customers.nnWhile chatting, Carl shared that he has worked at this specific store for over 25 years, dating back to when it was Countdown. That level of loyalty, dedication, commitment, hard work and consistency is truly impressive! I still remember seeing Carl years ago, working hard collecting trolleys, and it was wonderful to see that same friendly smile and positive attitude still shining today. Team members like Carl create a welcoming atmosphere and are a real credit to the Woolworths Lincoln Road store and franchise.nnI’d also like to thank Kai, the store food leader, for his professionalism, care, consideration and support in handling a difficult situation outside the store involving a disruptive individual. Kai was calm, respectful, and focused on ensuring all Woolworths customers felt safe, secure and comfortable.nnOverall, this visit reminded me that great people make a great store. Thank you to Carl, Kai, and the Woolworths Lincoln Road team for your service, professionalism, and care for our local community. Keep up the amazing work, it is greatly appreciated

Extremely disappointed with the lack of basic facilities.nThis is a large Woolworths store that even includes an in-store pharmacy, yet they do not provide any public restroom facilities for customers. It is completely unreasonable, especially for a store serving people who might be unwell, elderly, or shopping with young children. Having a pharmacy but no toilet is a massive oversight in customer care. I had to drive to a nearby petrol station in an emergency. Head management/Store Manager really needs to look into this and improve customer accessibility.

Had a frustrating experience at Woolworths Lincoln rd today.nI bought some nuts from the self-serve scoop section, where you're told to write the product code on the bag. At self-checkout, though, there was no way to enter the product code, so I had to call for assistance. The staff member helped put it through, but when I asked how customers are supposed to do it themselves, I was told they can't and that only staff can enter it. That doesn't make much sense if customers are being asked to write down product codes in the first place.nWhat disappointed me more was the interaction. I wasn't trying to argue or blame the staff member—I was simply pointing out what seems like a flaw in the system and asking how it works. Instead, I felt like I was being treated as if I was a difficult customer for asking a reasonable question. The tone became defensive, and at one point she even raised her voice.nI've noticed similar issues with some bakery items as well, where self-checkout isn't very practical if you're buying multiple loose items.nI understand staff don't make the rules, but a little patience and professionalism would have gone a long way. I left feeling more frustrated by the customer service than the actual system issue.

The fruit and vege section was well stocked and had some fennel...always welcome. Soft plastic drop off well organized.nGold Card Tuesday discount a bonus.

I stopped by on Tuesday, 7 April soon after opening hours as I was on my way to visit my 5 month old grandson in Waitākere hospital. I purchased a few items and 2 foil balloons. This was my first time visiting this store so asked 2 staff members to help me find items and they were excellent. When I got to the self checkout, the male staff member on duty was chatting to a customer. After scanning the balloon, I needed assistance as it was too light to register. I waited and waited and the staff member totally ignored me and continued chatting. I moved to the next checkout and scanned all items and save the balloons for last. Once scanned it said I needed a staff member to verify. By this time 2 machines had flashing red lights and the staff member still ignored me. I called out to him and his response was WHAT DO YOU WANT. I responded by saying I NEED YOUR HELP. He did not even apologise for keeping me waiting … shocking customer service and definitely not representing the company well. I will not return as Pak n Save is close by.
