White Cross - New Lynn

Went to urgent care after a back injury. Expected to wait ages but was only 20 minutes till the triage nurse saw me and another ~50 minutes before the doctor called me in. Staff were kind and helpful despite looking very busy, and getting harsh words from a few disgruntled patients. No one enjoys being unwell but please understand the nature of urgent care - people with illnesses or injuries that are most serious get priority, and the walking wounded are usually seen in order of arrival. Manage your expectations. Be kind.

OK, so the wait time sux but at least triage was done thoroughly and competently. The doctor I saw diagnosed and gave meds and sound advice. To top it all off the young lady in the pharmacy explained every med and made sure I was aware of the pros and cons. Thank you White Cross New Lynn. I am feeling better already.

It’s a good place but when I had come in to check my finger there was this lady in the reception part who was rude towards my mum. My mum had only asked simple questions and this lady was rude, in the distance I could hear this lady mocking my mum. I felt very disrespected.

I have recently been receiving care from Avondale White Cross for a cut on my shin which bled profusely. I have seen the nurses except for a doctor popping in to give me antibiotics. I have nothing but praise for the nursing staff. They have done and are still doing a great job.

Great experience at White Cross. Very grateful to Dr Derek and Nurse Christy for being so efficient and taking great care of me. I was there for approx. 1 hour and 15 mins overall but thought it might have been longer due to other unexpected circumstances. Their kind and compassionate nature was very much appreciated. Highly commend them and their team on their work and efforts!
