Vividly remember the grand opening of Wellmart more than a decade ago.nnSince its opening, it has indeed changed the shopping habits of the locals, especially the Chinese community.nnWhether you're enjoying a hot pot at home, Hainanese chicken rice or braised beef, you can always get the right ingredients here.nnIt offers a wide variety of Asian groceries at reasonable prices.nnThe store is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and welcoming.nnIt's a grocery store we visit every now and then.
Good selection of produce, frozen goods, butchered meats, snacks etc. They now also have a small delicatessen and bakery which has really interesting products, however I'm worried about the deli meats, they leave them out unrefrigerated all day. The only reason I rate 4 not 5, is because although they have 2 cash registers, they only ever have one operator, even if it's very busy and the queue is long. They need to call other staff to operate the second till if it's getting busy.
There's variety of asian food,spices ... what I love the most about this place is ...my favourite pork sweet intestine is available in that shop ....
A really good Asian Grocer/Supermarket. Handy and central location and has its own park. Don't get put off by its old shop look, inside is tidy and spacious. Lots and lots of varieties, more than New Save, more than Garden Fresh and more than Norman Fresh. Highly recommend for a visit. Cheapest prices too in general. Some of popular Asian grocery items are unique and you can only find them in this store in entire Hamilton. Give it a go. The cashier was very friendly with a smile.
Kim's is meh,nFreshcity is oknNew save is good,nBut Wellmart is the best.
