Public hospitals have had a shortage of funding for a long time now. This has placed huge pressures on all staff and the front line medical professionals in particular. Notwithstanding this day in and day out they do a great job. I can personally attest to this. I arrived in an ambulance and was admitted to emergency. Despite the pressure the nurses and doctors were under I felt that while they were attending to me I was the only person in the ward. I was admitted and had surgery the next morning. The whole time there was clear communication of what was happening and I was invited to ask questions. Everyone was friendly and professional and that included porters and cleaners. And the friendliness and efficiency was carried through to the outpatients as well. My appointment was at 11am. I was admitted at 11.01 and had a thorough examination and was out by 11.20.nMy total experience from beginning to end was universally positive.nThank you to everyone who I came in contact with and those behind the scenes who made it all happen.nPeter Barker
Dr. Jaspreet Singh and his team at Wellington Regional Hospital provided outstanding care throughout my treatment. His approach was friendly, calm, and highly professional, and he acted quickly when my situation required urgent attention.nnHe went the extra mile to secure a cancellation slot for my surgery, which was essential for my recovery and overall curing process.nnI am extremely grateful for his dedication, clear communication, and genuine commitment to patient care. Highly recommended.nnThank you Dr.Jaspreet Singh.
I find Wellington Hospital great. ICU staff are wonderful very kind and compassionate. Expert knowledge highly skilled and their care toward my husband was faultless. wonderful staff.nI left ICU feeling content and was able to sleep well. Thank you all for that, it was much appreciated.nThe wonderful harpess playing her harp for the ICU patients was delightful. To the gentleman with the beautiful Swiss shepherd... Thursday's and Tuesday'snLevel 6 staff, are wonderful, patience and highly skilled too. Wonderful care, again feel content with leaving my husband in their wonderful ward.nThank you all, incredibly dedicated staff.nYou have been noticed and was much appreciated by me.
This hospital is very under resourced and unfortunately a joke. Homeless have access to Whanau room on Ward 5 South that are stealing tea condiments and milk. No security watch which is outrageous. False comments on the nurses screen TV at nurse bay corner being filled with no trace of who entered false comment. Nurses are lovely and trying their best. But this Hospital is under resourced and in need of government intervention!!!
Just wanted to say a big thank you to the team who treated me today. I had a very silly injury from a very silly cause no longer allowed to be goalkeeper when playing footie, and even still, the team from the receptionist to the nurse + doctor who I saw were so lovely. I am autistic, and having to go to the ED by myself was very overwhelming; almost instantly my anxiety melted away. Thank you all for your hard work, we need lovely people like you all in our healthcare system more than ever!
