I had surgery and stayed over one night. The staff who work at Wakefield are absolutely amazing! The receptionists, the nurses, doctors and everyone else I met along the way were super nice and very helpful. I would highly recommend Wakefield Hospital!
Could not speak highly enough of Mr Stuart Burrows ENT Consultant and his team. My two year old has had recurrent infections and issues with eating. Multiple urgent referrals to public with no success. Mr Burrows met with us promptly after receiving the referral. Surgery was done within a matter of weeks. As parents to a toddler who has been miserable and on antibiotics for upwards of six months, we could not be more grateful. The bedside manner and all round care was professional, genuine and caring. Thank you for taking such good care of my son and helping him so quickly. I appreciate all the work you have done in your career to offer your services to us. Highly recommend Wakefield Hospital and Mr Burrows to anyone in a similar situation.
My husband is having a bypass tomorrow. He has been getting treated very ell. They even included me in the convrrsation and decision making. His room is like a hotel room. Very spoilt lol.
Went for adenotonsillectomy, septoplasty and inferior turbinoplasty. Nurses/Surgeon/Anesthetist were awesome. Operation went good and was looked after for the night I stayed. Food was decent too. However the 3 stars is for the surgeons PA who had poor communication in sending me admission forms before my surgery when I had asked for them 2wks prior. The billing team who had given me the muck around with sending incorrect invoices without them realising. This causes stress to a patient who was having their first ever surgery and had to go private as public were no help. Both PA and billing team have apologised which is great and appreciated but this is a private hospital and you just expect better.
I'd like to take the time to thank Dr Dennet for saving me for when i had the worst flare up with Ulcerative Colitis. She came in and made me feel really safe and in good hands. It's now been 6+ years and I'm doing great. Thanks to her and the team for taking great care of me and guiding me in the right direction.
