I came here to try their udon and the side dishes they had on offer after reading all the other reviews here.nThe Agadashi Tofu was the perfect bite size to sauce ratio. Renkon chips was fresh and crunchy, still hot when served.nFor main the Warm Udon with 5x tempura I had was delicious. Prawns tasted fresh and they were HUGE!nNote: Its a small restaurant, May have to wait outside before being seated. Was a 30min for our group of 5.nIll have to come back next time I visit Auckland.
We ordered mix sashimi… the pieces are ridiculously tiny… look at the unagi, 2 miserable strips, I almost mistaken them as some leftovers that were accidentally left…nLook at the tuna slice, I’m amazed at the chef’s knife skill, managed to cut a tiny piece so thin, almost see-through .. nI’m aware of the high inflations and how costly ingredients are etc… but it’s just not right to serve up such standard of food.. your udons & tempura were good! Take away your sashimi menu then!
Udon works I’ve had a million times, but have never eaten in there until this day! Ordered the curry udon which I enjoyed. The noodles are always top quality here, you can’t really go wrong with any dish at udon works. Best udon in the 09
If you are a fan of Udon. Yes, you come to the right shop. This is an amazing udon shop in AKL. The food was so yummy. Noodles were amazing, soft, and nice. Soup was tasty. The staff was nice and had good service. The shop looked nice and clean, cozy feeling. There are lots of people around 6 to 7 pm. Unfortunately, there is no phone booking. You need to walk in.
I heard many good review from my friends and it’s true! I had a warm nice udon and my friend had a cold udon both really good!
