Thermal Oak Motel

This accommodation exceeded our expectations. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom suite which suited our family of 2 adults and 2 teens perfectly. As it was on the back of the property, it was nice and quiet. It was in a great location; central to everything we needed. The laundry facilities paid were a great bonus.

Splendid place to stay. Nice walk to town, Woolworths , or Whakarewarewa Māori village. We stayed 5 nights. Nice bedding and towels. Nicely updated bathroom. Very clean. Good kitchen, with everything we required. Friendly, helpful staff, all of them. Spacious rooms. The only 2 little things that were slightly annoying; inconsistent water temperature in the shower, and the sofa in room 7 was so uncomfortable, we couldn’t sit on it. We ended up sitting on the hard dining chairs, for our 5 night stay. Another bonus, which was a nice surprise, they have on site guest laundry, for a small fee. Very convenient. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Thermal Oak was a great place to stay in Rotorua. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchenette was a nice size and the location was central to everywhere we wanted to go. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay!

I booked this place due to the numerous good reviews it has and also the price was very reasonable. I was hesitant because the motels I visited in the US were not ideal in terms of cleanliness and safety.nnThe check in was smooth but I had made the mistake of unloading our luggage into the lobby. There are parking lots next to my unit and I could had just unloaded there. Our 3 bedroom unit is very clean with a small kitchenette, L-shaped sofa and dining table. Toilets were very spacious and had constant hot water. Beds were comfortable as well and we all had great sleep.nnLocation is also very good. It was a short walk into town, and an even shorter drive. 10/10 would stay here again if I am back. On a side note, there is a sulfur smell when you step out of the unit but within the unit it was okay. This seems normal throughout Rotorua but just a heads up!

Rooms are spotlessly clean with modern kitchenette and bathroom facilities. Everything you would need. Check in was a breeze and I like the modern security door system. Bathroom toiletries were lovely manuka honey. Even managed to watch F1 on the TV!
