Are Gary and Barry still running it? They were polite. And the rooms were clean. Decent atmosphere. And grea t location in central Palmy. But will admit it's been ages since I stayed there.

The Suite room was one of the best rooms I had. The view was amazing. I had an awesome corner room. I just laughed and moved on. I didn't rant on Social Media Like MOST PEOPLE I respected their privacy. I will definitely be coming back for my next Holiday. And I hope I get the same room! I really enjoyed my stay! The Higher Floors are quieter with the Air Conditioning unit having less noise and the sun directly hits the rooms at one time in the day. It was totally worth the price. The room was in an Excellent Location. I had a corner room in the upper floor and it was really quiet. Although I did find something disturbing. I didn't let it bother me. Things happen. Really I loved it. Thank you Gary the Owner And Barry The Manager for an amazing and the memories on this Trip! Smile Face

Amazing hosts! Gary is a legend, VERY hospitable and incredibly courteous. Rooms are warm and inviting and full of character. Very nice and clean. Hallways full of eclectic guests. Be prepared to meet people!

The rooms are clean and well-kept, with coffee and tea freely available. Towels and soap were also a nice addition, as were the complimentary snacks left by the staff - all pleasant surprises for such low-priced accommodation. The reason I didn't give the hotel a full 5 stars was that the hallways were dark in places, and I was very confused as to where to check in - I was directed to knock on a door identical to all the other guest rooms. Great for the amount paid, but some things could be improved.

I stayed at the new railway hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean, warm safe and comfortable. As was the bathrooms. The art everywhere was amazing. The kitehen and lounge lovely comfortable spaces and well presented, clean and tidy. Barry the host was a funny guy who was very helpful and thoughtful. Overall good value for your money. I would recommend this place to others. However there is one complaint and sadly that is the horrible smell of stale cigarette smoke that lingers throughtout the hotel. This is because residents are allowed to smoke in their rooms. This hotel needs to supply an outside smoking area. I seriously found the smell of cigarette smoking indoors disgusting. And this is the only reason this hotel does not get 5 stars sorry.

Wow what an experience.. Walked up the stairs into an awful smell, dodged some weirdos before a very unhospitable owner came out and basically demanded money off me before I could see the rooms, for some reason I handed over the cash, his rude behavior toward me made me realise I didn't want to stay there , by the time he gave me money back I was running out the with him yelling mega abuse at me.. Very weird vibe. Totally wouldn't recommend it!

Stayed 5 days for a uni block course in the city. Affordable and simple rooms with everything you need, plus more! Free cookies, milk, soap, and fresh towels in the rooms, plus free bread Vogels!! and jams/honey/PB each morning. Cosy beds and hot showers. Very friendly host. For a "backpackers", this place is a bargain and pretty great! It is an old building with old charm, and well taken care of as well as old heritage buildings can be!. 5 minute walk to New World supermarket, 5 min walk to main bus stops by the square. Have already booked my next weeks stay here :

Where a young couple & we recommend this is a nice place to stayDon't judge a book by its cover, Good clean rooms + toilet and showers, its a shared Toilet/bathroom but the cleaner always seems to be on point with his cleaning when he can as its always nice and clean when we go in there you should have a microwave + fridge + jug & a few bowls, plates, cutlery, cups, coffee, tea & biscuts already in your room witch is great. Everything's in walking distance & there's also free WiFi available, nice quite relaxing place!

Stayed there for one night. The owner is so considerate. Nice and clean room with milk. Help yourself with the free breakfast bread and tea. Worth it. Highly recommended.
