We love the Distinction on Cuba street. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfy beds and good aircon. We find the staff amazing and Karma found out it was our daughters birthday and for two years in a row he has given her a very special birthday table and we have felt treated so well. The food is amazing and kitchen staff so accommodating with our requests. Upon calling reception during our stay, our queries were answered quickly. We feel like we are treated like royals during our stay and this is so special. We will definately be back on our next stay in Palmerston North
The night concierge was absolutely fantastic - incredibly helpful and saved our bacon in a tight spot!nnRoom was great, breakfast was tasty, and coffee was hot and strong.nnThe rest of the staff lived up to the high standards set by the overnight team.nnHighly recommended.
The hotel was old and could with redecorating. The room was very basic, it was freezing and we only had an oil heater, there were no electric blankets and no dishes to put our breakfast in. The staff were lively. I thought the buffet dinner we had was awful, just not cooked long enough.
Friendly staff, nice rooms. Food was good. There's a lovely old school/historic lift which was really fun and a definite first for me.
Been coming here every year since 2015 and every year is as best as the last, The staff are friendly everything is walking distance and the buffet is very good.
