Copthorne Hotel Palmerston North

Had a conference in Palmerston North. This is a nice hotel closed to the venue. It has an onsite restaurant & bar. Convenient location and friendly staff. Room is spacious. Buffet breakfast is available daily and dinner starts at 6pm. Plenty of parking space. Security is good with access code for after hours. Room is quiet, away from traffic.

Below what I have come to expect from Copthorne hotels. Service was ok, and the bed was good, but it is dated and in need of some refurbishment. The room had quite a few elements that weren't very clean.

Our first stay here tonightnWe have stayed in 4 or 5 other hotels in Palmy on our travels from Wellington to Auckland and tonight we found Copthorne to be our new favourite in Palmerston NthnCheckin was easy and very friendly and this chap was a credit to the establishment.nOur rooms was as good as most get and everything was clean comfortable and just perfect for my wife and I.nWe would have liked to eat in the restaurant because it looked so pleasant but we had booked a little close by Thai and returned back to the Copthorne for a coffee that was just perfect in the bar area with the service perfect.nThanks so much to everyone Copthorne in Palmy is our new stop over for certain.nIt's a one stop location too if that's needed.nSee you guys next time.

The room was great, and the staff were superb friendly. Only downside was that the shower water stayed cold for about 5 mins, then went boiling hot, but other then that the hotel is right near everything with a supermarket across the road and lots of places to eat.

Perfect location to the plaza and main street. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't like was stepping up into the shower and stepping down after showering. I was concerned about slipping. Apart from that I cannot fault this hotel. The parking was great too
