Copthorne Hotel Palmerston North

My daughter and I stayed at Copthorne Hotel for not quite a week. The reason that we picked this Hotel was because it was in easy walking distance to the centre of town which was a bonus. Also the room that we were allocated was spacious with excellent amenities of which we were appreciative, a room with a view. I was impressed with the thoughtfulness of the staff who went out of their way to be extremely helpful. All in all I would stay Copthorne Hotel again if I came to Palmerston North again. I also would recommend this Hotel to any of my friends if ever they were visiting Palmerston North.

Stayed Nov 2024 for one night. Room on the 5th floor with big window, with view of the city, yes there was renovation still happening and when I arrived at around 5pm it was still a bit noisy in some areas. I went down the restaurant at 6 and I believe the noise had stopped.nRestaurant does have limited menu, however what I did choose was BEAUTIFUL, lovely meal, was quick. The service was amazing and all staff i dealt with were kind and professional. Good location to central city if you're from out of town, a lot is within walking distance.

We stayed at the hotel for one night with breakfast included. While the property is undergoing renovations, the room we stayed in was fantastic, offering breathtaking views. However, I cannot recommend the restaurant.nnWhen we arrived for breakfast, the staff member in charge of the restaurant was not available to check us in, so the hotel reception team stepped in to assist us. While we were eating, the restaurant staff member finally arrived but approached us in an unprofessional manner. She asked for our room number without even greeting us, which felt impolite and out of place in the hospitality industry.nnAdditionally, breakfast service ends at 9:30 AM, and at 9:26 AM, she approached our table to remind us that we had only four minutes left. This created unnecessary pressure, even though we left the restaurant promptly at 9:28 AM.nnWhile I would recommend staying at the hotel due to its excellent rooms and stunning views, the restaurant service was disappointing and does not meet the standard one would expect.

Apart from the renovations, the noise level was very excessive. It sounded like people were moving stuff around until 12:30am. Did not get much sleep. The service was good. The restaurant has a very limited menu so went outside although it was raining outside. Will definitely avoid staying there at least until the place is renovated. Room was good as well, although the bathroom wasn't that clean as well.

Stayed one night. I would not stay again while major renovations are still happening. My husband is asthmatic and had issues breathing due to all the dust in the air and in the room. I would say it's a health hazard abd they should had told us or have on the site all the renovations going on as we would have stayed somewhere else. And over priced given all the work they are doing. Very disappointing. Never stay there again
