Stopped here for brekky after checking Google reviews. The tea arrived in a glass teapot with a candle beneath to keep it hot. The cheese scones are the best ever! Mince on toast right up there with the best. A great cafe with good staff.Food: 5/5
Had an iced coffee here today. It came in a plastic takeaway cup despite having it dine-in. It was also very expensive compared to most places, and the menu was misleading - Iced Coffee is listed as $7.90 which is already on the pricey side but actually cost $8.90. And the serving staff just dumped it on the table without saying anything. The drink itself tasted fine but wasn't great for the price. Overall just a very average experience.
Brilliant breakfast. Eggs your way with bacon, avocado and a very tasty relish. Chicken and bacon waffles with lots of maple syrup. We also had a juice with ginger and turmeric that was great. Nice atmosphere in the shop and very friendly team members who provided extra hot sauce sriracha when asked for! Very gooooood breakfast, thank you!
OK, so this is not Elixir Cafe, but they serve great food & the most incredible range of smoothies I've ever seen. The host was super friendly & gave me extra lime infused olive oil for my greens, & extra hollandaise for my eggs : They have toasted bagels too, & great hash browns.
I was so looking forward to having lunch here after so many good reviews. Unfortunately, today was not our day. I have ordered kids' chicken tenders & fries after asking 3 times the cashier if it's fresh or frozen, at which she replied fresh. They were frozen! My open steak sandwich was so undercooked and small and tasteless. No sauce, no relish, no nothing, just Just like in Murphy's Law, the waiter didn't add the drinks either. The owner was actually okay and gave an alternative to the frozen chicken, which we really appreciated. Overall, it's not a nice experience.
Visiting from Auckland and needed a 10 shot coffee and bite to eat before Church. Awesome food and coffee with friendly service. Highly recommend Food: 5/5

Was our first time coming here. We chose the place due to its interesting menu selections. Glad that not only the menus are fabulous, but the taste so yum! Had to order extra sour dough as the it's explicitly tasted awesome! Sure we will come back and highly recommended
Business lunch at The Dept. cafe was dynamic and fresh, the same as their food. Calamari were very light and possessed that pure taste of fresh seafood. Big breakfast was nutritious and satisfying. Staff were happy and warm and we were satisfied with the prices of our meals.
Excellent service today. Greeted as soon as I entered, coffee lady made polite chit chat while I looked at food. Food and coffee was superb. Server brought out water without me even thinking to ask. Excellent service and food highly recommend!
