Rooms are warm and have nice beds. The TV is about small and is very basic. You just get the free to air channels. The restaurant is quite nice, only been open a week and still getting sorted, but the food is great ! Had braised ribs, fantastic ! A lovely small meal that was very filling. We asked for a Charcuterie board for an entree, but she could not handle that so it turned up with the mains.nWe asked for an ice cream sundae, she said they had no ice cream, I pointed at the kids menu which had ice cream listed and she got us a bowl with 3 scoops of ice cream with chocolate sauce. Same thing, different name. We laughed, give them a chance, they have just opened and the food is great. They have a completely separate prep and cook area for gluten free food too.
Last week at around 11.am I asked at reception to have a look at The Glasshouse restaurant.As a friend had bookednit for a girls get together and I had flown in from Australia. I am a person with a visual disability and at reception 3 days prior I asked if I could quickly look at where the bathrooms were and where the edges of tables were so as not to cause a disturbance -ie knock into things actually know the layout so I was fully aware of my space. I was told that “no I could not go and have a look because lots of people just want to - “scope out the place” I said it would only take me a couple of minutes just to familiarise myself as I didn’t want to knock into things or anybody she said “ no you’ll have to come back at 3 o’clock” I will never recommend this restaurant or hotel to anybody for their discrimination against a person with a disability. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Close to supermarkets Pak n Save, woolworths and New World.nRoom smells amazing. Spa bath, great wster pressure in shower. Good size fridge with little milk tubs in. Clean, inviting specious,great heating a heat pump.nGreat value for money
Room was spacious, bed was so comfortable, amenities were great. Both receptionists at check-in and checkout were very nice. Ngā mihi Grace Marsh Ngā Kura ā Iwi. See you next time. Grace
Stayed 1 night. But the upgrade of the Hotel is very nice! Upgraded the Restaurant. Menu was yummy! Recommended place to stay at. This was our 2nd time. Say no more.
