We were all visiting family and needed last minute accommodation after international flights. We experienced the highest level of customer service over the weekend - the lovely receptionist worked hard to make sure we were able to get to our rooms. The room we stayed in was dated however the prices reflect this. My recommendation to the owners if renovating is to keep the old charm inside the main building - My parents had their wedding reception here in the 80s and it was so amazing to be able to relate to their photos I'll bring my kids over next time!
Room was okay, main light switch didn’t work, bathroom was tiny, no cutlery at all, no lift so had to drag suitcases up a staircase, if you come back after 7 you have to enter via a dingy back staircase behind a liquor store next door. Doors have gaps on all sides so super noisy and the smell of marijauana wafted through our room every night, I wouldn’t stay here again it was old and dated and not worth the money, the receptionist was lovely though
Situated at a very convenient location in Wanganui with ample parking. Very friendly and helpful staff.nMy wife lost her gold necklace there and the staff found it and sent it to us via courier.nWill definitely visit again.
Stayed at Avenue Hotel for 11 weeks. Staff really looked after me the whole time and made it feel like a home away from home.nGreat location and pool and courtyard garden is a real bonus.nTotally recommend.
Best location in the centre of town. Rooms are immaculate with beautiful garden out your back door and a large pool for summer. Receptionist are extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place.
