Incredible space, designed incredibly well... dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and all things attached to that. The library has four floors, several alcoves, nooks, crannies, books, creative spaces, viewing decks and absolutely anything else you could think you would do on a rainy day... including Lego, film making, sewing and let's just a restaurant in the lobby that had won best cheese scone previously as claimed by the trolley operator... however.. even as a tourist this space is spectacular and worthy of a visit.nTwo thumbs up all the way!!
Very well done library! The childrens area on the first floor is extensive and well designed! Be sure to check out the Church Registers on Level 2 and to get one of the book bundles which are curated by library staff!
Great library in the heart of the city. Plenty spots for kids and adults. Good cafe on the ground floor.
Beautiful library and very well planned infrastructure for Christchurch city. Amazing construction and interior and a great place for knowledge and learning.
Without a doubt, this is my favourite place in Christchurch. I love coming here to unwind, study and search for the latest staff recommended reads. I enjoy browsing this library due to the spacious layout, it is the best designed library in Christchurch. The staff that work here are very lovely and helpful which makes me want to come back here even more. I also appreciate how there is always a puzzle to build on the downstairs floor. Such a relaxing space that adds to the city ambience of Christchurch
