I think this is one of the best ocean view library in the world. The New Brighton Library is facing the long pier , have the best view to see the sun rise and the sun set by the ocean. It's a pity that it was too late when we arrived the Pier , the Library was closed . I could only take a few photos at the entrance and outside the building. Hope I can visit this Library again next time.
The staff here are friendly and helpful. The library is centrally located with ample parking. A great place to relax and enjoy the beachside setting.
Had some trouble with paperwork for our self contained rental van, headed to the library to print off the missing paperwork. Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, to the point three members of staff all helped to fix a printer that wouldn't cooperate with us. Extremely friendly and kind and interested in our travels, lovely people.
Nice place with good areas to sit and chill, some plugs available to charge laptop with nice view on the ocean. Only pretty loud... Loud talking on the ground level ,people don't even try to speak silent wich makes working difficult here.
I have come back to Christchurch after a number of years and went into the library to see if I was still a member. A lovely woman helped me and found that I was still a member. She updated my details and gave me a new card and explained everything I needed to know. I easily found a computer to search for books I might like and found the checkout process simple as I’d remembered my password. A great experience.
