Just a five minute walk from our house, The Sprig and Fern in Berhampore is an extension of our house, especially with the arrival of our wee girl two years ago. It’s a friendly and welcoming spot for new parents searching for the normality of their old lives and desperate for a drink and to feel like they are part of the world, and close enough to home to duck out the first time you leave a babysitter in charge and attend quiz night! Dinner is taken care of if the day has been “a bit much” with a basic but good menu, and the regular attendance of the Greek Food Truck. Our girl is now two, and confidently participates in pub life, chatting to the staff and patting the numerous dogs who visit. Yesterday we held a small celebration for her birthday, and had a magic time in the “grassed” area out front, which is separate from the rest of the outdoor space. It’s safe, the drinks are great, and it feels like home. Well done to the fabulous team who have done a great job with this place, it’s a real community hub.
What a great spot to while away a couple of hours on a rainy evening. Great staff awesome vibes. A cozy fire and games perfect didn't eat thia time but they do have vegan offerings. we'll be back!
My partner and I visited this local pub with a group of friends a few months ago. We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the buzzing atmosphere. The food came out promptly and did not disappoint. It was family friendly and had plenty of activities to keep kids occupied. Great selection of beverages to choose from especially the alcoholic lemonade!
Awesome little pub in the heart of Berhampore, good selection of tap beers all poured with love from friendly staff. The pub has really benefited from the recent renovations outside and now has plenty of sunny spots to park up in and have a pint or two. Great spot to watch the world go by!nnGreat for family & kids as well as large groups.nnAlso close to multiple bus stop's so its well connected for punters to get home.nnMost of the pub food looked really good, however they loose a point on food as the pizzas are basic and probably a bit pricey for what you get. Fine to fill the gap, but next time I would stay to the other grub.nnI'll definitely be back!
Such friendly staff and the parsley and cheese scone was one of the best I've had in a long time. Crunchy on the outside with a soft middle and lashings of butter Coffee was ok however no trim or almond milk which is unusual.nWould go again and try other food options on the menu.
