A group of 15 of us walked in at opening time with out a booking. A lovely young lady who was working at the time didn't seem to panic but welcomed us in and served us right away. At the time it was only her and the chef this was on a Saturday We ordered all of our food coffees drinks etc and without hesitation the waitress remained calmed and smiled throughout our entire visit. We were patient and she apologized to us for the wait which we didn't not worry about as we knew it was only her working.nI didn't catch her name but she deserves a payrise she was so attentive and not once showed any pressure was always smiling and asking if we were OK etc made our visit realize what customer service should be like back in Auckland.nnThank you for providing top notch service our niece enjoyed her birthday brunch.nnI recommend the eggs benny it was super
Was in on a Tuesday for dinner. Atmosphere was awesome as it was quiz night.nManaged to find a good table.nStaff were great, quick and attentive service. Had the Fish Special “Hake” and dam it was tasty.
Children's friendly restaurant. We love their kids menu.n$14 came with a selection of drink, main and ice -cream.n2 for 1 Main on Monday, no surcharge on public holiday was a bonus.nnWe enjoyed our food and service Thank you for having us again!
Went to the bar to order a drink while waiting for the rest of my group to arrive, was then told I couldn’t get a drink from the bar because they’re only doing table service. So I sat down and waited for someone to come and take an order but nobody came. The staff here aren’t well trained or attentive. Did not enjoy my time here.
This place looks like the sister bar of 1841 is J Ville. Similar menu choices so it must be. Steaks were not cooked the way we wanted them all three were well done not medium rare. Too much jus with the mash...and it was too strong flavour. The fettuccine was average. However, the bar snacks were excellent. Great nachos, wedges, chips, cheerios, etc. Also the chowder was nice.nGreat venue and staff are wonderful, but need to sort out the cooking parts.
