Our experience was great and the campervan they supplied was in good condition, we drove for nearly 2000kms on the South Island. They also were kind enough to offer us a late drop off.nnMy only suggestion to improve the customer experience would be to offer a 10-15 min briefing at pick up on how to use the vehicle and all the bells and whistles it comes with. We were first timers and had no idea or experience with using things like the indoor sink/tap, the dual battery system, the rear and side awnings etc. While these instructions were provided as short video clips, having an actual person demonstrate the use of these would have been so much more handy and could have saved us 4-6 hours of time trying to work things out.nnOther than that, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They price was the cheapest we found and they are very close to the airport.

We had an amazing trip using their vehicle, the van we had was amazing and gave us no issues at all. We had everything we needed there. Got a bit attached at the end. We will be using Spaceships again for sure. Thank you.

We spent about 3 weeks in a Dream Sleeper Mini we picked up from Spaceships Rentals Christchurch. The pickup process was very smooth, the van was all clean and ready out the front for us, and we were able to inspect it and ask the staff for any help. The van itself served us very well with no mechanical issues. We didn't use the stove, as camp kitchens were available everywhere we went, but the fridge worked fine and the battery never came close to emptying. It's never going to be as comfortable as a bigger van, but it's certainly more manoeuvrable and we slept well every night. The value was excellent, I'd definitely go with Spaceships in the future.

Spaceships was a great company to rent from! The vans are well described, well maintained, and the pickup and drop off was seamless and well organised. The staff are also great, super friendly. I also appreciated the smaller thing such as a donation area of free food from other travellers that didn’t use up supplies great zero waste approach to the add on packages that make it really easy to just drop off the vehicle and leave for your flight. I would encourage Spaceships to look at getting EVs into their fleet in the not too distant future as that would be a great way to encourage sustainability and now there are cars coming out with 1000km ranges.

Booked a Toyota from these guys online. Very easy to book and pickup out of hours. They have free food and gas from other campers instore. The setup in the car was impressive with gas struts to keep storage open, small fridge and charging points for your phone. USB and power point. Couple of gas cookers which were more then enough for two of us. Storage by the bed to keep water bottles, phones and torches made night time easy.
