Awanui Labs (previously Canterbury SCL) - Northfield

Great service. Booked in, arrived on time and seen straight away. Camille was friendly and painless. Signage was OK but then I already knew it was there.

Brutal, went straight thru vein, pulled back, looped around, side to side and back in. Now at Chch Emergency with pain. DONT RECOMMEND. Also no signage. At All. Nada. Zip.

My last visit I had to go by Taxi if he hadn't been there before I would have been hunting for it. I didn't see any disability parking it may have been being used but there was no parking anywhere. I took my number and waited 20 minutes but the nurse missed the vein and as they have a rule one try then they have to get another nurse so another wait, I was expecting to be there for another 20 minutes and they were cleaning up ready to close. I was expecting that I was going to go back next day. Will go be going back to St George's blood clinic as at least I can get a decent coffee from their café and I can then go shopping. Plus I can get there easily by bus.

I had the most lovely experience this morning, my nurse, Nica had such a warm, friendly and informative approach.

Impossible to find, even if you are sitting on top of it. The signage sits below the hedge line, so can't be seen from the car park. There is no listing of this company on the signage directory on the street, and no flags or other identifiers out. And it appears that none of the parks were allocated to the clinic, despite every other business in the area having a clear allocation. I had been here before, but was sure it was at the other end of the row when it was under a different name, and if it wasn't for the other reviews hilighting how little effort the business has put into making itself identifiable, I would have given up.nnInside, there was no service, the counter was unmanned. I read the signage, took a number and found a seat.nn15mins later I was called up, had blood taken immediately with very little introduction, and was out a minuite later. The nurse was friendly and efficient, so I've scored a bonus star for that.nnJust put a sign up on the street, the driveway, or the car park?!?
