A nice place for a laid-back Italian dinner.nnCame here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The space is warm and cosy with nice lighting — a great place to unwind after a long day.nnThe Crostino was well balanced with creamy Gorgonzola, sweet figs and prosciutto.nnCalamari was light, crispy and tender inside, especially good with a squeeze of lemon.nnFor mains, the Gnocchi was rich and comforting, and the Duck ravioli was a standout — flavourful, creamy, with a nice touch of acidity from the red wine cherries.nnOverall, a solid Italian dinner with great flavours and a relaxed vibe. Would happily come back.
What an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Semplice! A huge thank you to the entire staff—the atmosphere, service, and attention to detail were truly exceptional.nnA special mention to the gentleman who seemed to be the manager,his recommendations for both dishes and wine were spot on and greatly enhanced our evening.nnThe food is simply incredible! The Friday hidden special, Porchetta, was out of this world, and the Lamb Pappardelle was nothing short of spectacular quite possibly the best in Auckland! Our sincerest compliments to the chef. This is, without a doubt, some of the finest Italian cuisine we’ve ever had.nnThank you for a wonderful and memorable meal. We can’t wait to return!
Seriously some of the best food in Auckland.nnThe calamari was so well balanced and delicious, completely melt-in-your-mouth, not rubbery at all.nThe nduja and lemon pepper salt paired very very well and cut the richness of the squid ink mayo perfectly.nnThe lamb pappardelle was so smokey and delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly, and was very good quality.nnThe porcini pasta mushroom, was so umami forward and rich, but perfectly seasoned. Super flavourful.nnPortions were perfect, we left happy and satisfied.nnAll the staff were very friendly and informative, and the atmosphere is cozy and peaceful.nnWell done!!
Loved this cafe so much we went back for dinner.nnGreat coffee and pastries.nnDelicious pasta and desserts.
Sat in at 12:30 for a late brunch - ordered around 12:35 and only got our food eggs benny & frittatas - table for 2 at 1:28pm… They also forgot to add the egg to our order as we asked. Was told the hold up was due to two parties of six ordered before us I think they genuinely forgot our order.. Food was average considering the excessive wait. Will not be returning.
