I was just planning to grab a quick coffee before heading to the Hot Pool, but as soon as I saw the cabinet food, I couldn’t help myself and ended up ordering way more than I expected. And I’m so glad I did! The coffee was smooth and rich, and every single item I tried from the food to the desserts was absolutely delicious and satisfying. It felt like an unexpected little gem that I just happened to stumble upon. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It’s one of those places you don’t plan for, but end up remembering. Thank you for such a lovely experience.nI’ll definitely be back!

Amazing food and coffee! The Turkish eggs had some flavors I haven't gotten anywhere else in Christchurch which were just right for breakfast. I'll probably try it with the bacon next time too.nnGenuinely some of the best pork belly and hash browns I've ever hadnnAlso really appreciate that they serve coffee from Grey's

Saturdays Cafe is a hidden gem! Tucked away by He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools, it's New Brighton's best kept secret!nnA matcha lovers dream. I had the Iced Strawberry Matcha and Matcha French Toast. Both had very good, strong matcha flavours in them. The French Toast had dollops of matcha cream cheese, chocolate, and caramel sauces, making it a very sweet treat. Yum!nnThe cutest little cafe. Beautiful views of the New Brighton Pier. I absolutely love the decor. Staff were so lovely and provided a warm atmosphere.

We had breakfast 8:30am August 2025, plenty of seating, great views of the sea and pier, great to get out of the hustle and bustle of town, really enjoyed ourselves.

Food is pretty close to perfect, poached eggs cooked just the way I like it. Coffee is pretty good too. Good spot for breakfast after a beach run/walk
