Salt On The Pier

Ok i need to make a review because this is by far the best steak I have had in Christchurch they do a $20 steak nightSundays and Thursdays in this economy is unheard of thw steak was cooked to perfection and the portion size was incredible came with a wonderful salad with so many yummy veggies and the chips where cooked to perfection i will be coming here every week for there steak night as you cant even buy all those things to cook the ambience the view of the ocean is stunning overlooking the pier it is beautiful i cant recommend this place enough a must visit 10/10

The service was awesome and timely. My Big Breakfast started out fantastic until i bit into the tomato. After the first chew it tasted weird. I shouldve spat it out straight away but didnt unfortunately. After which i picked up the other half of the tomato thats left and sniffed it which reeked of a foul fish smell. It legit smelled like it was dropped on a board which had fish juice on it before being put back onto my plate of food.nnThe only thing that kept me from throwing up was the coffee I luckily bought with the meal.

Amazing fresh foods. Ate with my husband on our date night fantastic amazing all around server was totally polite I don’t know why this place has bad reviews we had an amazing first table experience.

if you haven’t been here you need to go, staff are absolutely LOVLEY couldn’t get any better and the food came out quick and was so good demolished it by the photo and the view was amazing as well, definitely coming back again

Such a beautiful dinner experience. Being right on the pier by the beach made it feel really special, and the food and service were both excellent. Our waiter was so friendly and welcoming — he’d literally just had a baby that morning and still showed up with the best energy and care. We had a great kōrero and felt genuinely looked after. Highly recommend for the vibe alone
