Health system is totally overwhelmed, so I imagine this is going to become a bit more common with our health workforce under the pump with unimaginable workloads of pressure, so I do say this understanding what is happening out there.nnBeing treated like a human though, is probably the most basic thing you can do, in any type of care.

Why do some nurses always think they know better than doctors. Alex from Pōkeno family health to be exact. When explaining that I lost antibiotics for what I thought was strep I’ve had several family members that had it the week of he refused to give me a replacement without having to do a swab. Telling me that I looked fine. I had only done 3 days out of 10. There are many other efficient practices that know you’re highly likely to have strep if a family member has it. “Well it should've been 7 days of antibiotics” not sure if he knows that the 10 day cycle is another option???amoxicillin instead of penicillin as it covers other sickness just Incase. Already he was trying to fact check? Maybe he’s getting paid extra to have arguments with patients. It IS free to have manners or be a decent person. Why are nurses in positions where they have little education or skills. The difference with doctors is that they have been on placements that nurses have not. Having far better knowledge than them. I have respect for a lot of other nurses but this one in particular just added to the stereotype.nnYes the health system here is terrible all together. But I’m sure you should learn respect and manners from home no? If I was talked to like a person and not judged or treated like a number this experience would’ve been a lot better. Yes health practices are a business, so I should be treated like a customer who has PAID. Which means there should be customer service involved no??nnThis does not apply to all nurses only Alex and a lot but not all. Thankyou to all the good ones out there but not you Alex not you nnP.s This experience is coming from a family member but isn’t very good at expressing herself.

Such wonderful service.nStaff are so friendly and helpful, enrollment was easy and very quick,nI was able to get an appointment within the same week and the doctor was thorough and so supportive.nThank you Pokeno Family Health.

would give 0 stars if possible. They have never help me any of the times I've been and I only go when I really need to. Expensive and with no help at all, immediately pushes medication to mask issues without attempt to solve the cause.

Had a recent visit with my son here and it was amazing! Bianca was very kind for us to be arranged to see the nurse even if we didn’t have an appointment. Also, she was kind and suggested to us to register my son so we don’t have to pay for the doctor’s fee. Ka pai!
