If I could give minus one star I would. We were waiting with the toddler for two hours when I asked to give us approximate waiting time the lady at the reception kept saying she has no way of knowing and all we needed was a cough medication. How come they can’t plan doctors time if say the average appointment takes 4 minutes in one hour one doctor can take a lot of patients especially when it comes to just administering the medication. Can’t there be just one doctor who can just prescribe the medication???? Which would be a lot more efficient than just keep pushing non urgent patients again and again without giving any indication when we can be seen. not to mention that last time we were misdiagnosed in here. It’s actually in every urgent clinic we went to and it’s just ridiculous. Hope someone will look into this eventually. Asking people with sick kids to wait in the car without indicating how long they will be waiting for is just cruel and the waiting room chairs are definitely not made for sick people to wait for hours……. Just terrible
If I cannot get in to see my own GP, I am always coming through to Waiata Shores. Have been here more than six times and every time it has been a great experience from Reception, to the nurse and seeing the doctor. I’ve been in for myself and sometimes my daughter, wait times vary depending on how busy the day is but I’m never there for more than two hours on a good day, 30 mins. I struggle with most of these bad reviews because everytime I’ve been in, it has always been a pleasant experience. For it being an urgent care centre, it provides what is needed.
I went to the clinic yesterday around 5 pm with my son who is 5 years old and was having high fever and vomitings from last 2 days. We gave him medicine but was not getting better. The lady at the reception says we not taking the patients anymore, although the clinic was supposed to close at 8pm. She said the nurse would check the fever and then decide whether the boy need to see the doctor or not. The nurse checked and the fever was 39 and he could not even stand by himself , and guess what she said , fevers are good, we are sending you home tonight. I requested that my son’s paracetamol had finished too can you please prescribe me one from the doctor even if he don’t want to see. She said no we can’t do anything. You can go somewhere else. Even before coming to the clinic I called them 10 minutes ago and asked them about the waiting time , the lady should tell me straightaway right there on the phone that go somewhere else , I literally cried coming outside from the clinic and was helpless. Shame
This is the 1st time m writing for a place which is not good but its an awesome place. The reception lady was soooooo nice. Such a good smile and welcoming and helped straight away. The nurse was spot on. The doct was so nice and checked my lil one with so much love and care. And 10/10 for keeping the place so clean and tidy. Didnt had to wait for 4 hours...nThank you for your help everyone. Keep it up.
Such a disgrace, worst reception staff, what are you guys doing about that coz there’s so many complaints here, plus yesterday we saw Dr Yoshi, he should be a nurse not a doctor!nWe paid $140 to just get paracetamol and ibrufon. You have a board at the front saying you can enrol but your reception think they can just sit there and rip of people. Dr Yoshi said if our baby has seizures then he will think it’s serious, otherwise being sick for two weeks is not serious to him.nI’m going to take you guys to media and report you guys to ministry of health. Bunch of cartoons running this place.
