Had a lovely experience at Palmers Bethlehem.nnWe were browsing on our own and overheard a staff member chatting with other customers, she was so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about plants. Not long after, she came over to help us and gave great recommendations based on what we were looking for.nnShe even took the plant we liked over to the pots and showed us how beautiful it could look styled properly, which was such a nice touch.n10/10 experience... Janice is an absolute star!
Palmers Bethlehem is a stunning location. Wandering through the outdoor plant area as well as the indoor homeware section makes one's soul feel well. The cafe has a great selection of foods and the berry tea is to die for. It is served in a vintage silver teapot which makes the whole experience feel more decadent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.
Apologies for taking so long to write this review but definitely wanted to take the time to thank the wonderful staff we met when we visited on 23 July 2025. We were looking for particular plants and the assistance we received from a specific member of staff was amazing. She advised us on both plants and pots. I do apologise that although I did ask the member of staff her name, I have now forgotten. Maybe staff members could wear name badges to assist? The plants we purchased are in the photos below, they will definitley help in identifying the member of staff, I am sure.nWe then were met with enthusiastic staff at the checkout who advised us to become members and we actually saved a consierable amount after spending a substantial amount. Next time we visit Tauranga, we will be sure to visit Palmers again. Thank you for such professional customer service, full of kindness and helpfulness......very typical of the people of New Zealand.
I got dragged here by the wife. But man it had some neet stuff for gifts. Didn't look at plants as we were traveling, but misses said they were great. I brought some poison for getting rid of bamboo. Look out neighbour's bamboo that grows on my side of fence!!
Great variety of flowers, veges and gifts.nHad lunch at the cafe. Great service, great food!
