I took a full set of near-new Federal mud tyres to 2 Cheap Tyres to get them fitted onto my 15x8 rims. They ended up completely destroying one of the beads, making the tyre unusable. They then told me Federals aren’t available in the country anymore and offered to replace it with a Goodride — which is about half the value and quality.nnI was willing to accept a replacement, but at the very least I expected two matching tyres so I could have the same pair on one axle. Instead, they tried to blame me, saying I asked them to fit an oversized tyre onto a “7-inch rim” and that their machine doesn’t take 7” rims. They never warned me of any issue, and my rims are 8-inch, which I told them multiple times. The boss even claimed his staff “sell these rims every day” so they would know the difference — but it’s been confirmed my rims are 8”.nnNow I’m stuck with three Federal mud tyres and one Goodride, all because they damaged my tyre and won’t take responsibility.
The staff were friendly, professional, and worked quickly; I didn't have to wait long at all. It was great! The price was also affordable. I highly recommend this place.

I went to Cheap Tyres Tauranga, and honestly, I’m so impressed! Being a woman, I usually don’t enjoy going to mechanics or tyre shops because I often feel like I might get taken advantage of — but that was not the case here at all. The team was super friendly, honest, and made me feel completely comfortable. Their service was amazing — fast, efficient, and affordable. I couldn’t recommend them enough! I’ll definitely be back next time I need tyres.
Called for a part worn after the Xmas break - was greeted by a friendly welcome - they didn’t have the size in due to the xmas break - but were expecting more that day - got a message later to say it had arrived - great communication- went at 830 next morning and it was fit promptly at competitive cost - highly recommend these guys thankyou
