Good car at reasonable price but hard to contact depot -nnThe Toyota RAV4 we rented was in good condition. The rental fee was fair and affordable. The pick-up and drop-off process at the depot was quick and easy. However, the depot is located 3 km from the airport, and there is no off-hour transfer service available.nnWhen we tried to contact the rental company after arriving at the airport at 08.30 am, during their office hour, we made 7-8 calls, but there was no answer. Fortunately, the Omega shuttle was also at the airport, dropping off other clients, so we were able to catch that shuttle to the depot. At first, I thought the shuttle driver had come to pick us up, but he wasn't aware of our situation.
We hired the RAV4 for 9 days. Price was competitive, car was in a great condition and drove well. We had extras like tyre Chains, booster seat, roof rack, all was very well priced and we had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend these guys. Just be aware of their business hours and shuttle pickup times as they are not located at the airport itself and could become challenging if arriving after hours.
These guys are rock solid, 5/5! Rented twice in NZ, once in Auckland and again in Queenstown. Both cars were super solid, well maintained, esp important as cars are not brand new. The customer support was excellent too. Very friendly and very organized as I had one after hours pickup. Second vehicle had failing battery in FOB. Called and I swung by, they replaced it in 5 minutes and gave me an extra battery for the glove box, all with a cheery smile. Highly recommend. AND it's the only place that hasn't dogged me for a review, doing this bc I'm impressed.
Go get yourself a rental car we had the best time in our rental and it was so comfortable and cheap. nIf you drop off after 5pm organise an uber to pick you up to go back to the airport as nobodys there at 5pm.
We had a fantastic experience with Omega Car Rentals during our trip to the South Island. We rented a RAV4 that was in excellent condition, and the team was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the process. They even offered us a convenient drop-off service to the airport after our trip. The pricing was very reasonable and absolutely worth it. Highly recommend Omega for anyone visiting the area!
