Had no issues whatsoever with the car and Apex in general.nThe attendant also explained how to setup the chains on the tyre, and that gave me quite a lot of confidence in case I needed to put the chains.nThe place is like a 5 minute walk from the airport so you don't need to wait for the shuttle. Because it does take a while, we didn't bother waiting for it and just walked instead and ended up arriving earlier than the people that did wait.
We dont have complain about the car at all, but we do complain about the process to get the car. Time is valuable and you should not wasting our time. First, the shuttle does really come to airport so it is nice. But the problem start when we come to the rental and just told to wait in shuttle car around 10-15 minutes without further explanation. After that, I took inisiative to go to the rental but lack of employee makes us wait for nearly half a hour for getting our car.nnThe second is there is no line of queue, and it is so chaos. There are just one employee to process the rental, meanwhile there are around more than five customer. We made a queue but the employee doesn't understand the meaning of queue, and she call someone name instead based on queue. After I complain, she is beyond rude and it is so disappointing that the employee named Delfina dare to speak back to me.
Rented a Toyota Fortuner with Apex Car Rentals from Christchurch and returning it in Queenstown during our 14 days stay in South Island. Car were in very good condition and comfortable to drive. Staffs were very friendly and helpful from collecting car to returning car. Good service, I will definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to rent a car in South Island!
We have rented a car through Apex a couple of times now, and it will continue to be my first choice. The price is super competitive, and the cars are really nice, tidy and new.nnOn this particular holiday, there was a communication breakdown via the offshore service centre following our flight delay. The issue was easily resolved and the on the ground customer service was beyond fantastic.
my rental car has problem with the boot not closing. Staff was very helpful and friendly. She even offer me refund for a day rental. I definitely use their service again next time when I am in Queenstown.
