Avoid! If you want to enjoy your holiday.nnnThe car I rented kept pulling to the left while driving. I reported it and asked for a replacement, but they only had a mechanic test drive it for about 5–10 minutes and then claimed there was “no problem.”nnI had already driven the car for 10 hours from Queenstown to Milford and returned, so I don’t see how a few minute drive can prove everything is fine. The staff were dismissive and even tried to blame it on the lane assist system .come on! it’s 2026, everyone knows how does it work.nnI wasn’t asking for an upgrade or a refund, just the same or a similar model.nnI’ve also had an unpleasant experience at their Auckland branch. Clearly not an isolated issue.nnThe video was taken on a straight road.
Pick up and drop off were both easy. Very pleasant staff. Felt like the old days where you were hiring a car and not having every opertunity to have money taken off of you. Drop of was quick and easy and courtesy bus to the airport very helpful.
There was a small crack in the middle of the windshield and there was a message on the dashboard saying Oil & Filter change. We went to the nearest Apex Car Rentals place and Mr. Santiago helped us immediately. He was very patient and helpful. He arranged another car for us and also assisted us setting up the navigation/car play. It was a pleasant experience.
We hired a Hyundai Santa Fe from Apex Rentals Queenstown and had an excellent experience. The car was awesome—very well maintained—and we spent a lot of time driving with absolutely no issues.nnPick-up and drop-off were super convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the airport. We collected the car late at around 10:30 pm, and the instructions sent by the company were very clear and easy to follow. The rental price was great too.nnTo top it off, we accidentally left our spectacles in the car, and the team went out of their way to help send them back to us. The staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. Communication was excellent.nnEverything was great—highly recommended!
Easy to deal with and close to queenstown airport walking distance. Good value car for our needs.
