Reasonably priced car and was able to pick up from the Queenstown airport, which was a few minute walk. The office just closed when we arrived but the instructions were clear to get the keys etc and even drop off at Christchurch too. Staff were very friendly too. The small Hyundai car was a good size for my friend and I to travel south island and had no issues with the car too.
This car rental company is very budget. I rented a nearly new car this time, with only 1,200 kilometers on it. Returning the car was also very convenient, and they have a van to deliver us to the airport.
Good only if nothing goes wrong. Someone hit our car while stationary, they were insured and admitted liability so this should have been straightforward to process. Instead it’s been 2 months now and still waiting to get our deposit back from Apex who won’t provide any updates on whether or when they will process the claim. Complete con artists, as they can make more money by keeping our $3k than by claiming for the very minor damage. Pic to show the extent of it, was just a few scratches.
Had a great experience with Apex. We rented on three separate occasions at places on both the North and South Islands. The check-in process was always quick and efficient, as was the checkout. While they don't have offices right on the various airports, they are usually 5 minutes away and we never had to wait long for a shuttle.nThe cars are not new but they are in great condition and never have us any trouble.nI strongly recommend renting from them versus going with the big brand names.
Operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.nIf you want to use it for other times, you have to pay an additional fee.nThe car was clean and it is good to have a service that allows you to the airport.
