The staff in this new world need a raise. The beautifully stacked fruit and veg is only a taster for what lies beyond. The aisles are where it’s at! I’ve never seen such perfect facing off in such a busy supermarket. Highly recommend for OCD riddled or boring people like me!
For the past few months our household has made numerous comments and noticed a drop in the quality, taste, texture and smell of the chicken from the meat section of this New World. Tonight is another occasion where the smell and taste is soo bad that we will not be eating it. We have never got a sense that the chikcen has gone bad/expired and on other occasions we've had to push past the smell and taste in order to eat dinner. We otherwise enjoy our food from here and are regular shoppers but it would be good to know where they source their chicken from and whether or not there has been a change in supplier.
This has to be the best New World for ready made hot and cold food. Looks beautiful and prices are okay. Parking can be challenging on the weekends but definitely worth the visit. The produce always looks devine and the shelfs stacked nicely. Never done a full shop here but it is a go to for us for a grab some ready made food when we are in town
Simply the best in NZ. Very well organised and tidy. Plenty of cooked food selection from veggies, fruits, meat, deli, hot food, and best of all the bakery. Love staring at the cakes, hot pies, muffins,bread, etc. all yummy and decent food to take away. Probably the most exciting thing to do in Wellington is to come here we were staying at Copthorn Hotel - best marina viewand we just walked to get our food here…love it! very attentive staff as well.. people need a supermarket like this specially in the windiest city but beautiful
My husband is obsessed literally with the Salted Caramel Oreo Slices made here. My pick for a treat is the bakery made meringues deli. We make at least one visit here each time we're in Wellington. I wish supermarkets in Australia would take a leaf or two from this particular New World store. It is 10/10.
