Smaller version of New World supermarket but it has most of the daily groceries and items you need.nnI love the fresh produce and fruits, although it is not as complete as the big New World supermarkets. They also have fish, halal chicken, meat, halal sausages from Pam’s, and seafood. Big bulk of halal beef and lambs are also available.nnBread in many varieties, cheese, eggs and dairy are also available. It has many baked goods as well. Rows of frozen and ready-to-eat Food are also available.nnChips and munchies are available, even cards and magazine as well as flowers.nnSo pretty much compact yet complete.nnParking spaces are available and there are spots for disabled as well. The store is disability friendly too.nnStaff are friendly and handy.nnThey sometimes have quizzes with gifts and hampers, so you can check it out.nnAlways happy to go back here
Unfortunately I had a bad incident today with staff member Holly which involved a breach of New World’s Fair Trading Act obligations. New World advertises a “Hot chicken guarantee” in which if there is no standard hot chicken available, this enables the customer to a free hot chicken voucher. Holly said because there were free range hot chickens this did not count, but I directed her to the explicit wording that standard hot chickens do not include free range chickens she took my phone for a while so I’m sure she read it. She said “you’re being quite sneaky” which I did not appreciate as I’m only enforcing what New World specifically advertises? There is nothing sneaky about that. She also suggested marking down the free range chicken to the standard pricing. I said, that’s not the point of the guarantee. In the end it took about 15 minutes to get a voucher and Holly gave it saying to “take it, leave and not tell anyone”. As there was 3 of us and one in the car who waited around for this to carry out, it was not worth our time in the slightest. Her attitude left a sour taste in my mouth and I was very disappointed that New World would falsely advertise something and try to sidestep it. It is a clear breach of FTA law. Please do better. I was completely respectful the entire time considering that a staff member was blatantly wasting our time and breaching the law.
Just brilliant local super. All the things and easy as to get to. Could do with a slightly larger carpark as it frequently gets choked.
A fantastic little supermarket. Many lovely choices of produce and the bakery and deli food very good.
All I can say is wow, great selection, helpful staff, overall great experience.
