New World Southmall

Shop here weekly. Not well stocked. And appears to be getting worse. Especially in the fruit and vege section. Literally empty shelves. Compare this New world to the New world in the city, college hill. Always well stocked. Is it because this New world is located in South Auckland? Come on

It's alot more spacious than wat it was, and is definitely cleaned up well, still has a few deals and is pretty reasonable, but I've just noticed that it ain't as gud on cheap prices as it used to be. Staff weren't really that helpful wen my trolley collapsed and everything in it hit the floor as it was actual customers that helped as they noticed the staff just walked straight past me so yea I was pretty unhappy with that. Parking is ok, gud access for disabled people. I found they don't really do much when a complaint has been put thru, I've bn a customer here at Manurewa New world for years and yea it was appalling to be stopped by security as they made a huge scene at the entrance door as we walked out stating I had stolen something and after proving payment by receipt, not bn gud enough until camera check was done and still never even got a sorry or nothing when proven we hadn't stole nothing, but while watching the camera play back I was able to notice 2 thefts been done from other people and showed them as they never saw it, so yea not too happy with the way that was handled. I've decided after all the years I've shopped here, there was no need for this, so I've decided I shop elsewhere now. Everyone to their own opinions but yea.

Iv been a regular customer here for years but usually get home delivery. My first experience back in store last week shocked me as the new security guys both approached me and my partner as we were leaving the store. The first guy was saying hey bro the second said this is a regular security check, do you have your receipt. I said no I didn't print one after you just watched us both scan our 3 products in self serve and make payment for it. The second guy asked my partner what's that bro, under his top I looked over to see what he was talking about, my partner pulls out his SECURITY ID linyard. Honestly I was so offended. NEVER have I ever been stoped before down there in New World Manurewa not to mention I spend good hard earned cash at this store. But to be publicly embarrassed at the front door and accused of stealing is so wrong. Get to know your locals. Get to know your regulars. And to the second security guy for f sakes get the hell off your phone while your working how unprofessional. That way you might actually catch REAL CRIMINALS. I refuse to go back into this store after this incident. I called the next day to speak to the manager about this, and I'm still waiting to hear back from him. Seems to be that public complaints don't matter so here it is on a public post for all to see.

This supermarket regularly only has a product i want once, and then never has in stock again. And I also feel it is worsening. We use the delivery service, which is good, but almost 40% of my online shopping list is unavailable items, all sorts of items too, not just food. I am gluten and lactose intolerant, so I am already limited in choice, which I can accept, but thensupply chain is broken at NW.

Disgusting treatment by the security guard. I have shopped here my whole entire life. Today I walk into the shop to get groceries and the security guard automatically says to me can I leave my bag at the front. Not ever have I been asked to do this. Retail background and I am disgusted I wouldn't be shopping in your store again or coming near southmall again you have lost a loyal customer I will telling people to avoid the shop as well.
