Beautiful and perfect location amongst the trees above Akaroa. Great heating in the room and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the shower water temperature was lukewarm which was not ideal in the middle of winter. The manager assessed the problem immediately but it could not be fixed during our stay there.
I wonder why this hotel has 1 star rating. My opinion at least 3 star. Great place to enjoy holiday. Very high standard lodge. Neat n clean. We will be back again. Sooner or later.

great place to stay for a couple days and had a good experience, comfy beds, nice air con etc. definitely would stay again!
Went there for a wedding. The venue was superb. I didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms. Beautiful place for a wedding. Stunning views.
Booked on behalf of my son and his partner... The hosts were amaizing, nothing was too much trouble... They had a wonderful weekend in a fantastic peaceful location.
